I'll plan on making the trail 42. Also, does anyone know of any good trail in the Huachuca Mountains and the Coronado forest ( the east side)?

Subject: Dupont Cabin July 10-11
Hi All,
I'll be doing a pre-run to Dupont Cabin (Sierra Anchas) on the weekend of July 10-11. I need to make a stop by the Pleasant Valley Ranger Station prior to hitting the trail. At this moment I am not sure if the PV Ranger Station is in Young or near Christopher Creek.
My goal is to go through JR Canyon on the way to the Cabin to make sure this section of the trail is doable and to estimate its trail rating. JR Canyon is privately owned and key access is required, hence the stop at the PV Ranger Station. Camping will be somewhere on the trail. If we make to the cabin, fine. If we don't we'll go by it on Sunday on our way out. The Dupont Cabin trail rates about a 3.0. Stock 4x4s may get banged up on this trail.
I'll supply more information later as the date gets closer.

Awhile back I brought up this trail as a possible group run. I know a few of
you were interested. The trail runs from Bartlett Lake to Horseshoe Lake or
vice versa. It sort of follows the Verde River as it climbs up and down the
various hills in between. The terrain, unlike most Arizona trails, is not
very rocky. This is a pretty challenging trail for stock Jeeps running 30's.
All of the hillclimbs are packed dirt and there are lots of big ruts and
washouts. One of the more scenic trails I've been on though.
This is a great chance to get a good mix of stock and built Jeeps together
to have a good time. I'm open for suggestions as far as a date and time go.
Those of you without mods and/or experience should consider giving this one
a try. Just be sure to have tow hooks in case we need to give you a helping
tug :)

Hello everyone,
Kathy and Nathan wanted me to say goodbye to everyone for them. They are
going to spend the summer in Kentucky with their mother, so they won't be
around for any runs until August. We leave for Kentucky tomorrow night, and
I will be returning in about a week by myself. After a week or six of rest
(I'm doing all the driving) and a carb rebuild, the J-10 and I should be
ready to hit the trail again.
I asked the kids tonight what they wanted to do when they came
home.......the first answer was to "go out with the Jeep Club." The kids
love every minute of every trail ride and they talk about all of you quite a
bit. You are all famous among the students of Larkspur Elementary as the
supermen (and women! Kathy was especially excited to meet the lady Jeepers)
who drive in THE Jeep Club.
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend.

Hi All,
I'll be doing a pre-run to Dupont Cabin (Sierra Anchas) on the weekend of July 10-11.

I'm pretty much out of it for awhile. I've got three young'uns to look
after on the weekends, and the Cherokee is starting to act a little too
squirelly to trust like that. I guess it's going to get a little higher
placement on my list of things now...

Subject: goodbye to all
Hello everyone,
Kathy and Nathan wanted me to say goodbye to everyone for them. They are
going to spend the summer in Kentucky with their mother, so they won't be
around for any runs until August.
Len
