Not sure, might be a t999, but have no clue. It depends on the price difference of new/rebuid. And engine size? Milage? T-case? If you go with a totally different make of tranny, you will also need an adapter and/or new t-case possibly. Changing makes might get you a stronger tranny, but the cost might be MUCH more. along with all the headaches associated with it. Also depends on the Jeep, DD? Or trail only?

What auto tranny came in the 94 YJ? Is it worth rebuilding or is their a better replacement? Its called a 32RH. Its a great transmission with plenty of performance parts available for it. I have a hybrid 30/32RH in my 01 TJ with a 2.5. It has a bunch of performance parts from the 32RH, but stuffed into a 30RH case because its the only case that fits the 2.5 Contrary to popular belief, the 2.5 is DIFFERENT than the 4.0 as far as bellhousing bolt patterns go. Anyways, do some research, or give me a call at the shop and we can talk about doung a trans rebuild/hop up. As long as you use a good quality fluid, have the bands adjusted correctly, and have a good shift kit in there and it will last a LOOOOOOONG time.

YES. Your 95 ZJ with a 5.2 should have the 46RH trans in it. With this trans you will need a NP 231 with a 31 spline input and it should have the .840 extension input gear. IF you have a 42RE then you would still need the 31 spline but it uses the .750 input extension. If you really cant find an .840 case, then you can use a .750 BUT you would need to purchase a Seal extension from tera flex. Its the same one they use on the TJ. Good luck, and If I can answer any more questions, feel free to give me a call at the shop.
