I just got back from Pick-n-pull in chandler minus my radio and XM receiver.
I went in for a leisurely stroll in the yard and came out to my YJ’s door standing open and a hole in the dash where my radio used to live and a blank spot where my XM receiver used to be. My slider window was unlocked but it's a soft top so they would have gotten it anyway. I knew better to leave them in the jeep but I just was not thinking. They left about $500.00 worth of networking tools just took the audio gear. Go figure….
Anyone have a YJ center dash section they don’t want any more???

SUCKS!!! That is why I haven't replaced my receiver that quit working. Tough to secure with no doors or top.:o

Motion activated pepper mist spray for the interior would be nice.

oh! don't forget to report the XM unit as stolen to XM. once they get the radio id as stolen it can never be activated again.

it wouldn't be hard to do, just an actuator set to be powered with the car alarm. just don't ever forget to disarm your alarm before getting in!

You just have to watch where you drive or hide the Goods......Don't lock the doors or they will cut or break a window....

Sorry for the bad news... :(
Why would you bring $500 worth of networking tools to the salvage yard? You really need to remove these items from your jeep as soon as you get home from work. I'm glad that you didn't lose these as well. It's one thing to lose the ability to play music, it's another to have a theft affect your livelihood.
I don't even leave my sunglasses visible when I leave my vehicle. I know it can be more difficult with a wrangler, but items are also more accessible in a wrangler...

My guess is they have one at the Pick 'n Pull in Chandler as of today and not only will it be a perfect fit, but cheap too...

Guess somebody just didn't bother going in to the yard to do their pick and pull. Hate thiefs.

Good thing about being poor is I don't have anything any one else wants:)

Thnx for all the support guys. The network equipment was an oversight on my part as was the radio apparently! Some times you just get to comfortable in your life until you get one of these wakeup calls!

I can see the headlines now, "Jeep owner killed by own security system"
Imagine if you had a faulty door pin or something that caused it to go off randomly. You'd end up with peppered seats.
