I just installed waggy springs and did a SOA. I know I need a CVshaft for the rear, would it be better to get a new shaft for the front or can I have the stock shaft made longer:eek: . the front stock shaft on a YJ seems small but I dont know if aftermarket front shafts are bigger.
Thanks

You might want to consider a longer slip in your shaft. You don't want it to fall apart as it elongates while you're drooping.

Longer is better, but not necessarily the diameter. Fatter, and you could have a problem with it hitting your T-case skid. I agree with a longer slip shaft too.

Go longer as well as more slip travel. Trust me...
I too have Waggy springs, also SOA. Was alrady running a CV rear, so had that one lengthened. The front shaft (was stock YJ) fell apart in the garage, so at least it wasn't on the trail. Had a new, heavier duty one built.
Got any pics of your new lift? What Waggy spring did you use...JC whitney or the rancho 44044's?
And fab an anti-wrap bar asap. With the added WB, my old ladder bar wouldn't fit, and I bent one rear spring in the 2-3 runs I did before installing a new one.

Really sucks when you flex it out and your short shaft falls into 2 pieces! Leaves you with no drive at all.
Take it to DICKS They'll make it longer.. :D

What are you talking about? He was asking about his front DS, and we are giving him advice. Is that not family oriented enough for you?
