Is it common to have a lot of slop or play with the Detroit? Its in a xj 44 with 33 splines and 4.88s. I had it looked at and I was told it was fine and that's how they are.

I know the older ones are real bad about that, when they upgraded and started calling it the "soft" locker it was better but still is that way.
