I'm rebuilding an AMC 360 and I am stuck on the cam bearings. Anyone have a tool that will press these in or know a good way to make one?

I used to work in a machine shop (Kelleys Machine @ 17th Ave and Hatcher) and we had a special tool to install. It would be a hard tool to make (it spreads evenly across the entire bearing). If you go to Kelley's Machine and tell them "Lumpy" sent you, they will take care of you. I think they normally charge $40 to install cam bearings. Tell them I said it was $25. Talk to Troy if you go, he is the owner (and my cousin).

I have the tool... I can get you the tool... You will need to drive to the shop I work at and pick it up... I am on my way to Chicago... I could put a call in to my Brther-n-law and he can get it out of my tool box for you... it is very easy to use...
call me asap... i'll pm you my number
