SO YEAH I HAVE SPARKS COMMING OUT MY EXHAUST THAT LOOK LIKE SLAG SO I THINK ITS TIME FOR A 350.does any ony know how hard its gunna be to go from a 304-400-quadratrack combo to somethin that will work easily?

I wouldnt worry about it

your catalytic converter sounds like it is breaking apart and being pushed through the exhaust system.

When you are ready for the 350 Advanced Adaptors and Novak have adaptors for this. Much more education on the subject available at the Novak site.

Not hard just takes time an money.

ademster i dont have cats i have side pipes

i was hoping to not have to get an adapter due to money issues.i was wondering if i could mate my AMC t400 to a chevy 350. or can i take the guts out of my tranny and put it in a chevy t400 case and still be able to use my t-case?

or would this be a good time to change to a gm t-caseand tranny?if so what one?

the th400 trans are 100% identical except the bellhousing and tail end ...

no need to switch guts for nothing.. they sell a adapter plate that will allow you to bolt the ac th400 to the gm 350

but if you look around you can find a th350/208 or th350 205 combos for very cheap. when you do the 350 swap you will need to weld in new motor mount. custom make cross member. and few minor things.

If it were me, I'd drop in an AMC 360 or 401 and call it done. The bigger AMC motors are torque monsters (especially the 401).

i already have a 350 and i want to be able to find parts anywhere not special order.

any adapter plates not for $500?

what crossmember am i gunna have to make work?

I love my 360 with Holly fuel injection. Should be able to put in a 360 for the same or less $$ than the adaptors.

it did look cool. but i think we got the problem resolved. new power valve + clean spark plugs=good running Jeep
