The photos are great! Didn't realize you were so busy with the camara.
Thanks. I should have mine developed later this week.
Thanks to everyone. We had a great time, and we have a lot to show for it.

Hey all,
I will get the pictures back from the coves cleanup on Wed. night. I will scan and post a few and if any more are needed (for articles or websites) I could meet anyone somewhere so you can see them. I had a great time!

I'm not sure if I'll make the May 1st Crown king trip. I'm debating on wether to go up there twice or just go on the overnighter. Whichever one I will sure to bring the pics along. Hey Len I am sure I did atleast one pic of your truck so I will be sure to email it out. I think I will actually be getting them Tuesday night.

Subject: DeLorme TOPO 2.0
I have been beta testing DeLorme's soon to be released TOPO 2.0. It is a phenomenal product that shows AZ contour in 20 foot increments and will create printable 3D images from them. The full set has 300,000 miles of trails. You can search by Lat and Long or by place name, zoom in to a level of incredible detail, print in regular topo format or in 3D landscape format. You can also create an elevation profile of a trail or road to better understand the terrain. It will come on 4 CD's if you order all 4 territories. If there is any interest, I can get the upgrade price for either US or Region 4 which is AZ, NM, OK, TX. Here is the deal:
US, retail $99 upgrade $69
Reg 4, retail $49 upgrade $29
They have asked for 30 orders to get this pricing, but I think if we are even close they will honor it. I am trying now to find out how we can go about ordering
If you are interested or have other questions, please reply to jloveless@earthlink.net . I get nothing from this except the ability to share what has been a great product experience with others.
TOPO 2.0 release is scheduled for May 1.

Jon,
Sounds pretty good to me. One question: will it show Latitude and Longitude
in UTM (universal something meters) where it breaks up quadrants in 1000
meters?
If it will do that, let me know who I should write a chek out to and where to
mail it.

For those interested in going to Crown King this Saturday, here are the plans:
Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the White Horse on S.E. corner of Carefree Hwy and 99th
Ave (rd to Lake Pleasant). I'll be using channel 14 on the CB.
We'll take off from the White Horse by 8:40 and regroup at the Trail head
("T" at entrance of Lake Pleasant Road and Castle Hot Springs) to air down.
We'll attempt to take off no later than 9:00 a.m. from the "T".
If anyone is interested in breakfast, I always welcome good company. I'll be
having breakfast at the old Smitty's on the S.W. corner of I-17 and Bell Rd.
at 7:00 a.m. There's a gas station across the street to gas up.
For those interested in camping, you can bring your gear. Just remember that
Crown King gets cold at night. I'll be going back to Phoenix the same day.
If you are sure that you're coming, please send me an e-mail.
Regards,

My preference is Fugawi along with either scanned USGS topos or USGS
DRG's (CDROMS with 67 topos for $32). Fugawi is lean mean reliable
software like you'd use for professional navigation.

Lower Ajax is rated as a 3.5, and I wouldn't suggest it w/o good offroad tires and some lift. However, you'd certainly have no problem on the main trail, which parallels Ajax. Ajax trail is actually a wash. Upper Ajax is a class 4 as I recall, btw.

Here are some of the pics. These are cropped and degraded pretty heavily to
cut down on file size. 3.5 x 5 at 100 dpi was already about 1 meg. I can
get some higher qualities special requests and time permiting. I will do a
few more over the next couple days. Ya, Len I do have one of your vehicle,
give me a few. I'm still not sure what Crown King trip I will make but I
will bring the whole set of prints with me then.

My preference is Fugawi along with either scanned USGS topos or USGS

software like you'd use for professional navigation.

Subject: more pics
Here are some of the pics. These are cropped and degraded pretty heavily to cut down on file size. 3.5 x 5 at 100 dpi was already about 1 meg. I can get some higher qualities special requests and time permiting. I will do a few more over the next couple days. Ya, Len I do have one of your vehicle, give me a few. I'm still not sure what Crown King trip I will make but I will bring the whole set of prints with me then.

I'm in for May 16. Does that date work for everyone who's interested? I'm

I'm definitely up for the Ajax run. I just got done mounting my Tomken gas skid and steering box skid on the TJ. The new Sun Performance rocker guards should be here tomorrow. Woohoo! Bring on the rocks!

Just wanted to check - is anyone planning on camping on the Crown King run
this weekend. Also, does anyone have a count as to how many vehicles?
I've been planning on doing next weekend, but may switch over to this weekend
if there is anyone interested in camping, etc.

Some of us from Tucson were thinking of coming up for the Crown King Run, next weekend and would be planning on camping out. Who else is planning on next weekend (May 8th)?
