I know this is a jeep club, but would it be a better idea for those of us with pick-ups/trucks as daily drivers to bring those to expedite the clean-up process?

Mark having a few trucks around would be a big help. Last year we filled about 3 dumpster to overflowing. This year we have 4 so we have planty of stuff to haul.

I was at Table Mesa today. We have a lot of clean up available we can use everyone we can get to show up and help.
The last couple years the event was sponsored by the Phx 4 wheelers. This year it is the AZVJC, lets put on a real show of what this club can do.

BTW I have contacted a couple radio stations that promised to do Public Service ads for the run. I did both country stations. If you have contacts or listen to a favorite station please try to contact them to do a PSA for us.

We need flyers in all the shooters supply shops and 4 wheel and ATV shops. I can attach a flyer to the group you can print out and give to shops. Just let me know.

Yeah, I agree with Jim on this one...... I think all of us that frequent gun shops should post a flyer about the clean up out @ table mesa...... It will open the eyes (hopefully) to a few people...Its not like The Jeepers just take our trash out there and dump it for the hell of it (Not counting Rick Normans XJ):D :D :D :D

Are any gun clubs or the like commited to this clean up?

The information is available to them. We have signs up through the Game & Fish at the shooting ranges. We have also hit Sportsman's Warehouse with fliers.
If you know any clubs feel free to contact them.

Thanks. I ask because I feel that area is a loosing battle because we don't inform or educate the right people. Promoting the clean up is great. But what would even be better is if the gun shops and clubs had a hand in this. These are the people that need to relate what the common good here is.

OK Here goes:
1. If you go to "Click here for pictures" on the run posting, it will link you to my "webshots" page with a poster that can be saved or printed.

2. I have contacted the ASA4WDC and Az Trail Riders. Posted on the Arizona Outdoorsman (upcoming events). Posted at Gun shops and sporting goods locations. Also have been in contact with the Good Gun Foundation (http://www.goodgun.org/) who will be showing up with a few people.

3. Contacted the following but did not get a commitment: Az Military Vehicle Collectors Club (http://www.armytrucks.org/). Maricopa County Sherriffs Office, and Durango Owners Club.

If you can think of or know any others please get an invite out...Roy...

So far we have 58 members registered for the event. I know it is a couple weeks away but we need a large turnout. This is the first time the AZVJC has been the club of record for this event. Roy has been doing a great job promoting it. We should have PSA's on several radio stations. If you can fit it into your schedule please sign up on the web page.

I can confirm that the Sheriffs Chain gang unit has been activated for this event and a saturday (that is normally a day off for the chain gang officers) has been schedualed. I'm pretty sure the saturday is that same saturday that the run is posted. normally the chain gang is staffed with 17 working inmates and 2 officers.
Hope that helps.

This was the first group event I have attended being new to the group and all but I have to say thi was a lot of fun, and The place looked great after all was said and done, everyone was great, we met some great people, I wish I could have stuck around after to do some wheelin' but time was limited we got out there at about 7:00am, and left around 2:00pm, I look foward to meeting more people and doing dome runs soon, it looked like there where a lot of good trails out there if anyone is leading a run out there in the next couple weeks let me know.
