Yeah, I like that design too. You should have never let him talk you out of the mounting strap though, it's a great place to put your CB and ham radio..... :)

Aw, he did not talk me out of it I talked myself out of it. I keep remembering Sharky's roll and him losing an ear because of his cb. I intend to use lots of padding up top.

Well, for the record... Sharky did not lose his ear from the CB. He lost his ear when his shoulder strap from his 4 point harness, swung around and hit him during the roll. They were not in use at the time of the accident.
Looks good.

Keep changing things and adding things and pretty soon you will be able to go wheeling. Can't tell from these pics, are the fenders on? Is the lift on? Are the tires on???  Maybe you will be ready by our Moab trip next year.
Let me know when you want to go on some little shake down runs for all this stuff you are adding. :D :D

Only 27 more things to do then I can go wheeling. Wait, 28....no 30...no...
4 Wheeler's is putting on the fenders and working up a connection between them and the front bumper hoop this week.
Absolute Offroad is putting on the 6 inch RK lift, WE wheels, and 37 inch Baja Claws the week of July 23rd. Joe put in the axles, gears and front factory locker in the rear allready. Stock wheels and tires with 5.13's is....interesting.:D

It does look great. I saw it at Absolute Offroad the other day when I picked up my JK. I think I may have to have Monkeybars do some work on my JK after I build up some funds again......:D

Say, are the High Country Renegades:cool: an organized club??
Not sure what you consider an organized club. Actually the HCR is not even a club, it is just a loosely knit group of like minded individuals who like to wheel together, some originating in the high country. Some of the group are very loosely knit and some don't seem to be knit at all.
We do however, have some officers. For instance: Walt "Jeepnut" Brodzinski-
Executive Vice President and Senior Director of Technical Services, High Country Renegades; ..... Thom Campbell- President "High Country Renegades";....Blkruby-Co-Vice President and assistant to the President for useless trivia and all things GPS for the High Country Renegades
These are all volunteer positions and every year we thank these people for their time and effort to make this group work. We have no meetings except at the trailhead. Thom usually says "don't nobody screw up- let's go" and the meeting is over. Many of the runs are in the high country, thus the name, High Country Renegades.
There are special runs each year as a group, ie: Moab, several Cracks runs, Ouray, etc. and there are no dues. To become a member is simple, you just have to complete one of the HCR runs, get voted in by at least one member, buy the HCR sticker and proudly display it on your jeep and this forum. You should also participate in future runs and strive to become an officer. Other ways to become a member; bribe one of the officers (usually with beer), become a CB on one of our overnighters and don't moan and complain about it afterwards, or you can just roll your jeep on one of our runs-this really works well. :D
Anyway, there you have it, the complete lowdown on the HCR. I am sorry to say at this time you do not qualify for membership in this group. You have to actually wheel your jeep.

Maybe you could be the one to lead a drive to organize the HCR...post a poll somewhere, begin a debate....;)

I don't think that will happen but feel free to talk to our president about it. :D :D

Looks great. I had him fab the same cage last year and ive loved it.
I went the paint route and I really wish I would have just line-x'ed it instead. The paint has been slightly effected by the sun and it is rusting where the door surrounds rub the paint off. I'm sure I can still prep it and line-x it sometime later.
[EDIT] Oh, and watch your head, i've hit mine a few times on the bumpy trails. However, im 6ft and have 1 1/5 inch seat risers under me.

I bought the 1.5 inch seat risers also. At 5'10 I might be ok....

No head banging here, I'm 6'1" and have done my share of rough trails. Put the seat risers in after Moab though.
