going at a reasonable early time to try an beat some of the heat.

MINIMUM requirements : 33's at least one locker. it your worries about sctraches of dents please stay home.

I'm trying to coordinate my 1st shake down run on Willow Springs. Planning on being at the trail head at 7 am on Sat. June 23....

I'd like to keep it to a smaller sized group ( 4 /5 rigs).. (there is already 3 potentially) for sake of time. I was planning on hooking up with people near the GoldField Ghost town place around 6:30am... I always miss / blow by the Willow gate everytime... So if you have a good sence of the location let me know.

Not really sure how far In we'll go .. but it should be fun

help me shake down my new axles.

I'd like to start the trail at 6 if we could, then I could be home by around noon. I'd really like to have more then two jeeps out there as well. I have a friend coming into town tonight. I want to make sure he is up for it before I say for sure I can make it. I have ran it a few times.

Our night run seems to be running out of steam.

Trying to decide if it is worth running to get a permit and tag along.

I run 33's, locked front. I'm not afraid to bang it up but I'ld rather not flop it till the cage is done :) How 4.0 ish is the trail?

Well the trip to Willow Springs was a blast. Jeff and Ryan (sp?) Are great guys.

Jeff let his 7 year old son make fools of us by letting him drive a pretty nasty obstacle. :) Pretty good for barely being able to reach the pedals. He DOES know where the skinny one is though. :D

Jeff did a great job on his rig. New tires and axles worked great and it looks nice too.

Ryan, well his rig was just plain beat to he11. Open/open 31's and he just kept going and going and ...

My plow hanging from the bottom seemed to be my down fall. Got hung up hard once so bad Jeff couldn't even pull me off the rock. Hey, my hi lift actually works.

All 3 of us made ith through the slot no problem. I have no armor so took the bypass on the way back.

Carnage: Well not to bad. Some windshilr frame scrapes on Jeff and Ryan's rigs. Lots of dragging bottoms, except Jeff of course, that is one long legged beast he built. :)

Jeff's battery gave up the ghost just as were were getting ready to come back through the gate on the way out.

DO you really need oil pressure? I hope not because I don't have any. Maybe I can get a can of oil pressure from NAPA? :D

I think my motor is toast. At idle I have no oil pressure and when I run around 1200 RPM or higher I have about 15 - 20 PSI.

Maybe it is the oil pump but I doubt it. It was running hot and making a few weird noises.

All in all a great rip. Thanks for being patient guys, had a blast.

Yep, a good one Bill. Here's the pics that I have, but since we really took the camera of the person driving and took pics of their rig, I mostly have my pics. Here they are. Thanks for the compliments on the beatifulness of my rig. I swear I was really trying to find the mall this morning and got lost.

The windshield frame didn't like this(that's ok, cause I don't like the windshield frame), or the top. Lots of metal is missing and the top is torn.

Speaking of which... I was down checking out Travis' rig at Truckwerks and Travis pointed out your piece of <pg-13> in the corner. Your rig really is a bent of piece of garbage dennis. I'm sure you'll take that as a compliment. :p I love the waves in your hood. ;)

Ahh the years of hard work ive put into that POS :D but what you didnt see if my pretty purple roll cage thats going in it and a bit of sheetmetal that might have to go. Did you see my pretty cool hood latch? yeah found it at home in my closet. Amazing what a hanger will do if you use it like a wire tie that you hold bread closed with :D I told him not to point it out at all cause he'll make his shop look bad. Waves in the hood are custom. I can do them on your hood if you want :D
