Need a name of a lawyer

Does anybody know the name of a good lawyer that deals with small buisnesses? Need to find one that can help get some of the legal issues with starting a small buisness.

Also an accountant if anybody knows one too.

for an accountant we use Patrick Thatcher in Goodyear. we have used him for many years for our quartly and yearly taxes for our 2 busineses and have a few friends that use him also for their business needs.

My wife is a lawyer - but she is now working for the gov so she can't deal w/ private businesses. She suggests calling the AZ corporation commission who will give you instructions on how to file to get licensed to do business in AZ. Check out their website too. You can check on names to see if the name has been taken and get other do-it-yourself info. Once you've taken a look at that to see what needs to be done, go to the AZ State Bar website under "find a lawyer" customize a search for your location, etc. Most attorneys will only charge a small fee for the initial consultation. She says that you really want to find a good accountant (more than a lawyer) to focus on tax aspects unless you are dealing w/ investors or partners - in which case you definitely need a lawyer.

I've done a little research about what it takes to start/register a business. It's really not terribly complicated. As stated, start w/AZ Corp. Commission website. Also, check out the specific city website where you'll be doing businesss. I may still have some specific web pages bookmarked at work. I'll check tomorrow. At one point, I had a form email from the city of Scottsdale outlining all the steps. Did I mention that I'm an accountant? ;)
