ANOTHER PROJECT NEEDING HELP.................
Please contact Chris if you have some time to help sign this area. Chris is a GREAT and FUN guy......
We need to become involved in these projects to enable us to keep on top of what's happening and why. Proper signing not only helps us in the fact of "education" for the huge numbers of OHV recreationists out there that don't know where we can go and where we cannot go; it also shows the environmentalists we DO CARE....... we take away their power of saying....."They don't care, they just destroy the desert".
Hi all,
Our signing project in the Sonoran Monument is continuing tomorrow, 5/31 through approximately June 14. We have completed most of the project south of I-8 and will be continuing to install route markers north of I-8 around the Maricopas for the next few weeks.
I spent 5-6 days with the crew last time around, and honestly, it's not that bad....pretty fun actually! It does get warm toward the end of the day but we're never away from the trucks so air conditioning is always near! : ) I have to say also....it's a beautiful thing to see signed, numbered routes across the desert!! If you're into instant results for your efforts...this is the project for you!!
Please let me know if you'd be interested in coming out to help.... We're working out of Gila Bend for now, although we may move up to Buckeye in the coming weeks depending on commute time.
Also....if you know of any clubs/club members in that area, could you forward me their contact info?? Does anyone have an email address for Sandee?
Thank you all! Chris.....
