It seems like my Jeep has been at 4Wheelers for weeks. Come to think of it, it has been there for weeks. After having shocks, driveshafts, limiting straps & JK lights installed, Rob fabbed up a nice stubby bumper that ties into my tube fenders. I think it turned out great. Thanks for the good work guys. And as always at a good price.

JD,
Am I seeing things correctly? Are those claws sitting on pavement? How much tread did you lose driving it off of the trailer to park it? You know I'm only playing with ya... The rig is looking sharp. Are you ready to find out how its working? PM me if you are free Sunday/Monday. We were thinking of hitting a trail in your neck of the woods on one of those days/nights.

Thanks everyone, I had planned on running Payette Draw Saturday. I also know of another run I,d like to do;) . But I might need to stay home Saturday to have an RV gate installed so these Claws don't go bald prematurely. I'll know for sure tomorrow. If so, I'll have to run something Sunday. TM or FJ.

Thanks Kyle, You know my Jeep has been on both sides, right. After Parker last year I doubt you can take it easy on any Jeep. What's the fun in that? Looking forward to wheeling with you again.

Hey JD, I think there is a new mall opening in Moab in Nov, around Thanksgiving. See you up there for the grand opening.

Yeah, See you there . Maybe there will be some good sales at the new Pritchett center & the Behind the Rocks strip mall. And I'd really like to go back to the BFE emporium. That is if I can find good parking.

I'm working on a kitchen pass for Saturday, if you can get out that day, let me know. Probably end up heading up to the war zone.

forgive my ignorance, but... does a bumper like this cost more or less than one out of a magazine? If it costs less it makes sense to me, but if it costs more, what other products did you look at?

Probably a little more, but a ton of custom work. As JD said, it ties into his tube fenders, thereby strentghening them considerably. Also custom painted/powdercoated. And TOP QUALITY isn't expensive, it is priceless.;) And JD got rid of his TXT, which is a nice product to begin with. And Troy is REAL proud of his work($$$).

Thanks Lance, I couldn't have said it better myself. Troy makes a nice bumper & it served me well. But with the new tube fenders I wanted something more narrow in the front that would tie in to the fenders to give added strength should I flop on one of those parking curbs.
For the little extra $ I spent vs the $$ I might save when needed in a flop, I feel its $ well spent.
Lance, I'm going shopping at the TM outlet tomorrow, you wanna go?

I've gotten some quotes and you'd be surprised how comparable it is, if not less expensive and higher quality. The problem for me is leaving my jeep for a couple days at a shop and having it exactly the way I want vs. myself bolting something on over the weekend.

I also have no front axle in the Jeep. That is the only reason I went paintballing rather than wheeling.:o
