Went to pick up wife at work and killed engine while waiting for her. Few min later she comes out, Jeep does not start, no codes, got lights, horn etc Optima Blue Top less than a year old. I play around with it and NADA, no start, no turn over.
I am less than 1/2 mile from Airpark Jeep so I put in a call to Jason. He says wait there I will run right over.;)
Jason shows up ASAP with Eric and a code reader in tow. Eric applies all his tricks but cannot get it fixed. Wife needs wheels so Eric calls back to the office and cuts her a super deal on a rental Jeep Liberty.:)
Jason then runs me home where we pick up my tow strap and we go back to the Jeep. He straps to it and pulls with the intent of pulling me over to Airpark. I ease out on the clutch, Jeep starts instantly. We all decide that it just might be the starter solenoid.
I drive on over to Airpark and drop it off.
Just cannot say enough about Jason and Eric going out of their way and above and beyond to help me out.:) :) They are stand up folks that helped a Jeeper in need.

It was probably vapor lock. Masterpull doesn't allow the air to flow through the winch line like Amsteel Blue does. :p :p Good to hear you got home and that Jason helped you out. I'm sure my Jeep will leave me walking some day. It enjoys eating fuses from time to time which doesn't inspire confidence.

Got a call from Eric the SM, needs a new starter [guess the lifetime warranty NAPA starter has a short life], fan motor for AC/heat is burned up and bad connection to computer.
Eric has ordered parts Jeep should be finished by tomorrow PM.
Again, thanks guys:D

Mike your are dead-on! But I am just not sure that making your winch rope out of used six pack plastic holders makes for a strong rope  cooler maybe:confused: :p

Got call yesterday afternoon from Eric that my Jeep was ready.
Jeep got new starter, fan blower motor and connection to computer fixed.
Tow over to Airpark via Jason's Jeep and a tow strap.
Rental car, Jeep Liberty.
Interim call from Eric my SM telling me what was wrong, when it would get fixed, what parts were needed and a good estimate of expected cost.
Everything fixed in 2 days.
A bill that had a discount on it for being a AZVJC member.
Eric, Jason, this Bud's for you;) Thanks a lot for being stand-up guys, good Jeep friends and professional employees. See you soon.
Airpark is coming thru for US the Jeeper and AZVJC member:)

This sort of thing is why it was a "no-brainer" to join this club.
Not alot of crap, but a whole lot of club.

LOL...now thats funny. Good to see Jeepers helping each other out. Especially going out of the way that Jason and Eric did. Speaks volumes about the Jeep community.
