Here is the latest on HB 2443 OHV indicia plate. 5/20.07
Last message ........
After much wrangling, a motion to wave the 24 hour rule was passed 14 to 13, for HB 2443.
This means the bill could go back to the Senate Floor and a motion to reconsider could be presented…………this motion squeaked pass 15 for, 11 against.
This means that the HB 2443 will go back to the Senate Floor to be heard again in third read. We will send emails again for next try.
Well that time is here. We think the bill will be heard on Wed. or Thursday this week. Please see below for what you can do.

1) Call the following Senators. Tell them exactly what is in the below message, please no adlibbing on this …………we need the same message from everyone on this ……..give your name and district , what you ride , how many in your family…………..MOST of all , you support this bill! It does not matter if you call after hours……leave a message, if you talk to a person at the office, be polite and state the facts …………don't get mad or elaborate………keep it simple. If more than one rides in your family……send separate phone messages ……..give an age for kids too.

We or I respectfully ask you to support this very important Bill that will help manage OHV use in Arizona. This Bill will address the major problems in managing OHV use including Law Enforcement, signage and maps and additional laws to address environmental concerns and property rights and gives a verifiable accounting each year of OHV dollars spent.
HB 2443 enhances safety, increases responsible use, helps the environment, and will help deal with illegal OHV use.
Your support for 2443 is needed and very greatly appreciated by those of us who want things to be done right out there for the benefit of riders and non-riders alike. Thank you very much.

Additional information to consider:
A couple of other things worth noting, it would be a nice idea to add a special thank you to the President of the Senate, Senator Timothy Bee ,in e-mails directed specifically to him for having shown great leadership and fairness in providing the opportunity for this bill to be moved for reconsideration.
And also, for e-mails directed specifically to Burns, a special thank you to him for his efforts to help give this bill the shot it deserves to be properly considered and passed by the Senate.
As I mentioned last email , I have done as much as I can as far as contacting Senators and letting them know we want this bill to pass…………..It is now up to you to make your voices and emails heard……….. Please take the time to write or call or better yet do BOTH.
I believe we will never have this much support from so many diverse groups to get an OHV bill thru…………. nor the money we have raised to hire lobbyists …
BUT most of all I don't think we will ever see this well a written bill AGAIN.
This is the one and I hope we can convince the Senate on this too.
