View Full Version : Hassayampa River - Night Run 5-18-07

Pics from our night run. Thanks to Skatchkins, Offroadaz and YellowSub for a great run.
We started the trail at about 8pm and made our way down the wash. Found the water and a few hils to play on. Took a break to change my tire... Yes I lost a tire... in the sand. Offroadaz cooked of some great burgers and then we worked out way back to the 60.
On the way out Offroadaz lost power to his Jeep. May be the fule pump may just be a fuse... AAA was called and we were told that it wold be an hour... 3 hours later we put the tow rope on and drug him home. :mad:

It all worked out. Going 55mph my Jeep get almost 17mpg:D Got home a little past 5am.

There are some really cool pics there. High quality. I like the one with the river flowing in the foreground, with a slow shutter speed.

those are some sweet pics. glad to hear that everyone made it home ok, so what if it was not under thier own power. these things happen and i am always thankfull when its something small that happens!

Glad you had a good time, was thinking about that night run and I was out of training by 5:30pm.

Pic's are awsome... What part of the Hassayampa were you running? Above or below Wickenburg? (at least one of the pics appears to be from the Box Canyon area is why I ask)...;)

Yep we stopped to cook burgers just past box canyon

It was a fun trail, great temps, got a little cool driving out ;)

Didnt see too many animals, just some rabbits and lots of bats

where do you enter box canyon....???? I was up in Wickenburg this weekend...but was not sure where to get into the canyon....

shhhhhh ancient river secret........if you disavow any knowledge of the entrance......the river will swallow you and take you under the earth with it...

Hmmmmmm... Seems the ancients have been disturbed and the Legend of the Hassayampa, holds some truth... At least it sure appears as if Brad's been drinking from the Hassayampa... :eek: :D :p ;)

PS: Great White... Not to believe EVERYTHING Brad has posted.... Some of it is not true...:eek:

hahaha....yeah..I told him its off Rincon...I thought he may have thought me to be a bit irrational and mislead...and a liberal (and I didnt want to be associated with that guy who is)..so I PM'd him and explained how to get there...its not really a big huge secret.....LOL...:D
