Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to extend and invite to all to join a couple of us who will be driving from Phoenix to Sedona to do a few trails. Check it out! :D

I will be out of town that weekend, but stop by the shop for trail info. Any of the staff will gladly help you out. The Charles Wells book is no longer accurate with regard to Homestead/Cliffhanger.

1. It lists it as moderate (by Wells standards, moderate would be a 2.0-2.5). The hill has eroded considerably since the book was written in 2002. It would now be well within the "difficult" rating according to the book.

2. The map and directions show one way in and a different way out. The way "in" no longer exists--blocked off several years ago by USFS.

The trail is easiest to follow coming off of Hwy 89A, but there are still a few unmarked splits.
