Highway to Hell
Florence Junction Area
Highway to Hell is one of the most popular trails in Arizona. It's a wash that continues off the Upper Woodpecker trail. You know your in for a challenge when your greeted by the shrine of broken parts. Be prepared, once you commit there are no exits and only a few bypasses. Minor body damage is guaranteed. Lockers Front and Rear and 33" aggressive tires are bare minimum requirements.
After the shrine, its easy going as the wash winds. The opening section is very obvious. There are two ways to enter the section. The notch on the left is the real challenge. As you proceed, your forced through a technical section. Once clear, the wash opens up again.
From there, there is some spacing among the obstacles. Some of the early ones have bypasses. As you near the end, the challenge increases and the obstacles are right on top of each other. The final waterfall has an awkward shape to it and can frustrate a driver. The exit can be seen in the distance.
Start of the trail - Broken Parts Shrine. Please use discretion with what you add.
