Me and Ohiotj are looking to run a new trail! We are looking up some of the trails that seem like they have been ignored for a while..like Bumble Bee creek. I will keep searching and sugestions are very welcome;)

EDIT: We are running Bumblebee creek

Trail Run

Where:Meet I-17 Exit Bumble/Crown king 34* 08' 10.9 112* 08' 46.7

When:Tuesday 05/15/07

Meet time:9am leave 9:15am

I have the trail mapped min 33's rear locker, trail conditions are unknown and rated a 3.5-4.5 on various websites...If this trail is too much we can run Turkey creek or desoto mine.

Hey Jason, we'd be interested in something new & different. Never been on Bumblebee Creek, wouldn't mind checking it out. There are a couple of other trails out there we're interested in: Turkey Creek & Desoto Mine. Never been on either.

You might need to slow down a bit so we can keep up with you though . . . :p

Slow down????? I have done turkey creek and desoto mine late last year. Turkey creek certainly can have moments:D Desoto mine was like a rollercoaster up and doooown mountains..both good pretty areas with very little challenge.

I may take a closer look at Bumble bee creek though

Turkey Creek is too dry to make it interesting. (I did it Saturday night.)

The Bumble Bee Creek trail is rated as a '4.5' on the 'old site'.
If you're taking that four-door, I wanna watch!

Well....it is a Diesel?????? Its a euro 2.8 crd like the US 05-06 jeep liberty's. I'm guessing somebody did put reg gas in one of these or an engineer didn't trust the testers!

Sorry I can't make it Tuesday. Got anything going for the following Tuesday (22nd)? Please not a 4.5, though.

Jdemonto@Airpark Jeep Sales

Well, the problem is that the trail rating system is not current nor up to date, a 4.5 from 2004 could be a 3.5 in 2007!!! If its too much we will do a desoto mine run to CK and have dinner there.

PS. I have no more plans for day trips due to the HOOOOT temps, However I would like to do a Sunday (family) run in June up in Sedona.

Jay, may not be able to make it. The wife just lost her grandmother. I know she is going to be leaving early that morning for Ohio. I will let you know for sure later.

Thanks Joe and Ryan for attending although it seemed that Bumble bee creek was impassible for a jeep without lockers at 37" tires..so we did turkey creek instead and made great time without incident..finished around 1PM and had a cold one at cleator with the gang! Next time I'm do this run in the wet winter weather!!

Lance I am sure a rig like yours can make it through..damage will happen!!!! I would have to rate this trail a solid 5.0 due to the first impassible Obsticle!!!
Look at my pics!!!
