Winch Recovery

With the posts that have been going around about winch and winch safety. What about having a get together on the safety and use of winches? I know the basics but that's it.

winching is common sense
but this is a excellent idea... meet a trail somewhere and practice proper winching technics.

When I was out at the Game And Fish Expo, I had a few people talk to me about winch saftey. I used to be part of a staff that did taught 4x4 saftey at the Sheriff's Office. The winching section was something I covered. If folks up for it, I would be more than happy to a little Winching 101 or something.

I would definitely be up for a class. Since I haven't been able to take a basic course or any thing, I have done as much research as I can on winching and recovery and safety. I have done a few recoveries, and feel I could handle most situations, but I would feel much better getting someone who is really experienced to instruct me first hand.
