8 of us, John(Lifes A Jeep), Charlie(azcharlie), Rich(RokNRich), Wayne(TwistedMetal), Kyle(TRLR8TDTJ), Alan(DesertX04), ???(Alan buddy in the SWEET TJ), and myself went up and ran Pyeatt Draw today. Sweet trail with a good group of guys. I just got home from a 16 hr day, so will post up some pics quickly. Only carnage was my new self clearancing Currie tierod, and of course, Wayne broke yet another front axle shaft. The misc body scrapes too. Everyone cleared the "Filter" easily, and everyone took a winch on the final fall. Some huge boulders made for some great poser shots, and seems like hanging a tire in the air was rampant today. Alan and his buddy took an early out as they had to get back to Phx, and I came back after we finished. The rest of the gang is camping out tonight, and I am sure they will post some pics as well later.

Lance to bad you didn't give a little notice in advance you could have come over and watched Chad and Mike do Upper Skull Crusher.TC didn't know how to get a hold of you and tell you.
Looks like you all had fun anyway.

TC actually invited me up to watch, but you know me. I would rather wheel than watch. I have seen pics of USC before, and don't think I am quite ready for that.........YET! I was invited on this run, and I wasn't even the "instigater" on this one, but I did "instigate" some optional lines.;)

Everything was going smoothly until Wayne's turn. He wanted to give it a good try before using a winch.
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/Lifesajeep/DSC07494.jpg

Wayne tried to get up and as he did, he slid toward the water. He gets himself close to the edge
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/Lifesajeep/DSC07496.jpg

His rear gets hung up by the undercut
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/Lifesajeep/DSC07499.jpg

We put two winches on him and started pulling him up. Then POP! He breaks his front axle. We then jacked him up and worked him up the ledge
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/Lifesajeep/DSC07500.jpg

It took a lot of work for us to get him up the ledge
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/Lifesajeep/DSC07502.jpg

The second ledge took some more work but we got him up fine
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/Lifesajeep/DSC07504.jpg

Here's his shaft. He twisted it and snapped it off.

Nice pics guys. I'm especially proud of Lance for posting pics!:D

Wish I could have made it but I had to get the house painted before it got too hot. I'm still not done with it, but I'm going wheeling Monday anyway.

Hey Charlie tell Wayne that when Nick owned that XJ he made it up the waterfall without a winch.:D I know he will love to hear that.;)

That was a quite impressive sight. When it was my turn, I also dropped my passenger rear in that notch and teetered a bit. I thought for sure I was going over the ledge for a second

I posted a few videos to Youtube. My favorite two are of Wayne's break and Lance's crowd support on the winch waterfall.

I have a ton more video's from both Pyeatt & Willow Springs. I'll post more after I figure out how to capture them in a larger size. These looks great on a TV when played directly off the camera, but not so good on the computer.

From the sounds of it (one of the replies) everyone used the winch to get up. Heck, with the feeling that waterfall gives you just having the winch hooked up for safety is justified. Pictures never do the pucker factor on that obstacle justice. :o Something about landing upside down in relatively deep water adds to the pucker. ;)

All of us winched up the waterfall. Wayne really wanted to make it up without the winch and you can see what the final outcome was. There's so much pucker without a winch!

Originally, we planned on continuing down the trail. But by the time we got everyone past the winch waterfall, it was pretty late in the day and we decided to head back to camp. Will do another time

So did you not do all the winching this time John? The last time I was on that trail with you you winched like 37 rigs up that fall. :p
