Hello everyone!
I think that we are going to sell my rig, but I am not sure what a fair price for it is. Given this list, what would be a realistic selling price?

Brand New Trackloc in Rear Dana 44

TXT Oilpan Skid
TXT Rock Sliders
TXT Gas Tank Skids

The jeep doesn't leak or burn any fluids and is reliable as a daily driver. There is Moderate AZ pinstriping, and the interior is OK with some rips in the driver's seat. Other than that the body is in excellent condition with only one real scrape from a rock on CD. I was thinking of asking $12,500 which of course is only a fraction of what I have in it, but I was thinking that it is still a fair price.

Clayton, Thats proably a fair price, the problem will be finding a buyer that understands the value of the mods you have done to the Jeep.
Why you getting rid of it? Gonna build something else, or interests change?
Either way I hope you geet what you need out of it.

when we had the jeep advertized at the armory, this jerk-wad came into my office and tried to tell me I was nuts if I thought I was going to get more than 4700 (he went to kbb and did trade in value w/ no add ons) for our 99 jeep...
I can't believe you're going to sell it with all that work put into it!
So are you guys going to keep it now?

I would like to eventually find an earlier CJ to build from scratch. That, and I just bought a new Chaparral boat that is going to be taking up a lot more of my time.
What is a realistic expectation? I know what I have into it, but am I really asking a fair price, or am I on the high side.
And Shnipe, wanna setup a payment plan??

Market is presently going for around 6K for stock in good condition, even with all your mods your going to have trouble at that price, unless the buyer truly understands what they are buying.

D*mn Clayton, just when you were starting to have fun with it. :D 12500 might be just a tad high even for the condition of your rig. I'd say that 10 would probably be more in the ballpark that a "normal" person might pay for it. It is a cherry TJ and runs great. I'm sure you won't have any problems with a sale. Good luck with the new boat.

$1 a week for the next 5 weeks?

Do you still have the stuff that you took off it? I wonder if it would make more sense to return to it to somewhat stock condition, and sell the aftermarket stuff separately. Also, I'd consider using E-Bay to sell your rig. I was able to quickly sell my 69 Camaro on EBay for more than I expected. It was easier than I expected.

Sorry to see you sell the Jeep Clayton. I sold my bass boat to buy my Jeep. I loved fishing and used it just about every weekend. After a while I just got tired of dealing with all the yahoo's on the lake. It became more stressful then anything and the boat sat in the garage most of the time while I paid the bank. Like they say the happiest days in a boat owners life are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
Good luck!:)

It has been a really fun project, but we are moving on to a bigger and better boat. I picked up a really sweet Chaparral 220SSI with only 19 hours on it for a real deal. I can't wait to get it on the water.
After reading through this thread and talking to some other folks, I agree that 10K is more in the ball park for my rig. Someone is going to get a sweet deal.

Somebody called on our jeep from the virtual jeep club and we're directing them to this thread, Spongebob, since we're no longer selling...

Sorry to hear your selling Spongebob.
10 Grand is about right for your rig I'd think.
I went through the boating and fishing
thing a few years back. I used to fish every Friday at Willow Springs lake, rain
snow or shine. I don't get to wheel as much as I used to fish, but I'm working
on it!:D
Good luck with the new boat.:)

Thanks!! I appreciate it. I really don't want to sell it, but it's time to move on for now.
Here is the new toy. I have been boating and fishing for a little while now, but it was time to move up to a better play toy with a little more power. She's a 2004 Chaparral 220 SSI with the 350Mag MPI combined with a Bravo 3 outdrive from Mercruiser. She tops out at nearly 60MPH which is screaming for a boat that is 24' long.

If you advertize on Domesticsale.com it makes the pull tab ads to put on bulleton boards for you, as well as creates the template for your window sticker...plus it is free.

Well, I think that I am going to ask $14,500 OBO and see where it goes from there. This is definately a well built jeep that is ready to hit the trails.
