Hey I have a dana 35 in the rear and Dana 30 (locked) in the front. Currently I am running 33's, but I want to upgrade to 35's. If I do will I have to worry about breaking an axle?

Dana 35s are notoriously weak. I think that 33s are pushing it if you wheel it hard at all. I would look at replacing the 35 before moving in tire size.

If your D35 remains not locked, you could possibly get by without axle breakage depending of course on what kind of trails you do. If you go ahead with the 35's, i would suggest carrying everything you need to replace a broken shaft, just in case. Every Jeep is different so you never know for sure. Most people will say upgrade that axle.

Be nice to the go pedal and it'll last longer.

Replace it, don't throw ANY money into a sinking ship. I saw a guy break a D35 axle on 33s open, and all he did was slide off a small obstacle. Get a D44 or Ford 8.8. You are better in the long run, and they can both handle a 35" tire. Unless it is a mall crawler, but then why would you have a front locker.(pulling up on the curb?)
