Bill (Fire Ball) and I worked on my new REV111 fenders today and in taking our time it took about 7 hours. That includes stopping for lunch and some parts from his killer ACE hardware store.
We have to trim some of the rocker guard but overall, it really isn't to difficult. I will need to find a way to change my cowl air intake mode to something a little more manageable due to the fact that air box just doesn't like the way it is sitting now.
Anyway, here are some pics!!

Bill playing with a grinder, we had to cut up some of the old fender to get to a few bolts. Thanks to the Predator trail for that one:

We had to use the grinder a bit that day for some of those famous rusted bolts of mine. He was quite happy.
Driver's side fender GONE:

Passenger side fender GONE and we just finished placing in the aluminum inner fender well and Bill's getting ready to play with more things, like a plasma cutter for instance:

Here it is all mounted up, getting ready to finish reattaching all the underhood stuff:

Unfortunately, we finished in the dark so no really good pics. I'll be sure to get some tomorrow though. Here's one that did come out ok of the finished passenger side:

Overall, I really like these fenders. Yea they are pricy, but they are different and useful. They do add some "bling" to things but I need to figure out if I feel like keeping that much chrome-ish color or if I decide to paint the aluminum black in the fender well area.
I do love the easy access aluminum piece on the fender itself. Makes for getting things in there much easier, especially under the battery tray and ABS tray.
I can't wait to get these out on the trail and see how much more room I have to play with.
Thanks a lot for the help and entertaining conversation. Thanks too for dinner and a very understanding wife. :D
