ArizonaXJ event May 11th - 13th

[AZXJ]

May 11th thru 13th Pyeatte Draw !! This is a three day event open to all XJ owning AZVJC club members.

All levels of wheeling are avialable, from stock XJ's to XJbuggies theres a section of trail for everyone!!

This is the Anniversary run for the ArizonaXJ club's 7th year!

Replied on NAXJA, but cannot attend all three days. Is there a tenative schedule of the runs? Are you meeting in Payson? I have friends in Heber and may staying the night there.

Well hell... what are the chances? That is my birthday weekend and I was already planning on running that trail and camping down there too. I'll be down there on Saturday. What's the general plan?

Friday night is the Big party!!! With all the rain we've had we should be good to go for camp fires!!

We are meeting in camp.. Check the maps.. it's easy to get there.. We will also hang AZXJ signs for the map challenged folks.. :D

Not sure who is doing what, but I have 3 leaving from 43 & Glendale on Saturday at 6 am. When are you headed up?

Looks like i might be making this trip... probably coming up Friday afternoon, going to try and gather up some spare parts and what not threw out the week and hopefully get the locker installed.

Im a definite on this trip ill be up there Friday afternoon and going to have my Dad come up Saturday after he gets off work with his truck and trailer so he can tow the jeep home. Looking forward too this trip!

yeah right after we passed you down the mountain on the way out we loaded it up. I drove by your camp like 4 times last night and waved each time didnt think you guys saw me tho cuz i just got looks.. You guys do anymore wheeling today?

Good deal. Looks like it fit fine on the trailer with the quad. I thought I saw you at least once, but Joe, Jason, and I ran into town for a couple hours for beer and to grab some dinner. So some of the others in camp might not have recognized you. So was it you setting off the fireworks? :D

Nope wasnt me setting them off and ya i ran by once got to the main road then realized i didnt set my tie rod right and the tires were way off fighting eachother, so i went back to camp fixed it and went back out i saw you standing around the camp fire a couple of the time i was running pretty fast threw there and in a hurry so i didnt stop.

damn my paint skills are SICK. Between your bumper and your chrome wheels i painted black i think i have a great career ahead of me! Nice wheels and tires :rolleyes: (can i have them back now??)

yeah i forgot all about the bumper until i got out too spot her threw some spots and yeah these tires are sick and no you cant have them back :p

Wow, Glen, the rig looks great with some 33s! And nice tie rod! Any more carnage? Who all went? Trip report? Shenanigans? And I hope some idiot was not shooting off fireworks in a Natl forest with the weather we are having! That is just plain stupid!:mad:

yeah it does look great with the 33's W/ tread actually made a hell of a difference.. And yeah that tie rod well haha i let a lady friend drive, she wasnt even fighting the steering and it just tacoed... other than that just some body dings here and there..someone cut a sidewall and someone in a white xj snapped his front drive shaft on the last fall in the same spot wayne did. And Mark stripped his R&P i think it was.

Yeah she slid off the line and her axle tube i think it was that got stuck... I went back too camp cuz mark broke pulling her back so they re did his whole front axle on the trail

It was kinda funny when you came walking up asking for a BFH :D , and then hearing you pound on your rig that was maybe 100 foot away from camp. At least you got it fixed.

What you herd banging was be hitting my tie rod aginst a rock.. A trick i learned from the bratt pack and well it worked

I remember that... that was last sept in Payson when Mikes white jeep tie rod bent? straightened out better then the used spare I had.
