I ran Anaconda for the 1st time this week - and now want to go again. Anyone want to go? I'd recommend lockers front and rear and 35s at least. Spare parts would be useful.

No takers? This will be a fun run. I would also like to run another trail along with Anaconda - maybe one of the Terminators or Predator.

ooooh, you tempt me to try the bonds of my marriage to go on yet ANOTHER Jeep run...

If I go, can I blame my divorce on you??

I'm thinking I'll be in my jeep cuz the Mrs. doesn't like the heat... She has to drive the Jeep when I tow the Buggy in the Air Condtioned Dodge...(She's lilywhitemilktoast.. but don't tell her I said that.. OK??)

Ummm... I better at LEAST run it by her.. I'll tell her you are stuck... OK?

I know, I'm spineless, But she's WORTH IT!! :D

Women would KILL to stomp on a guy like me the way she does!!

Bill,

I'll get your back on whatever you want to tell your wife - as long as you do the same for me. :D

Bob,
I've never run CD - I just see the amount of carnage that results from it. Is it much tougher than Anaconda?

It is tougher, but if you have a winch, you can do it. What tire size? Locked F/R?

I've got a winch, 35s and ARBs front and rear - and lots of armor.

Take off your top for running CD, if you aren't stretched and running 37's.... I've got scratched glass, but no breakage from my last time up. Oh, I ate my rear locker on the last hill climb out of CD, too. Short wheelbases suk on CD. (mmmm stretching whelbase with brain, trying to obiwan renobi it, but nothing is moving on the heep) I'm willing to try it again with the new locker and a new line..... Let me ask my other half what we've got going on during the day.
Time to be at the airdown spot?

I'd love to go. I have no winch and no spare tire. Does that matter? :D I do have spare shafts all the way around a spare rear driveshaft, ujoints and the tools to change them.
Can i go?

Travis, I think you'll be okay on anaconda - just don't lead...

The first time I ran CD I had 3.55 gears, locked in the front and limited slip in the rear and tranny problems due to old fluid and I made it through with no major breakage. I did however have a winch.... and no the jeep in boner boys picture is not mine.:D

Jamie was on the fence when we ran Anaconda, so we made him lead. :D I'm sure we can talk him to doing CD.

A buddy of mine may show also, but can't confirm until Saturday night.

Anaconda took a little longer than expected. We were all tired and hot by the time we got to the end of the trail and decided that we had enough. ANyway, here are a couple of highlights.

Dennis(hopefully I got people's names right - I'm bad w/ names) totally taco'd his tie rod - here it is getting fixed:

renoB's stem:

http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o108/jpotts1/RenobFlat.jpg

Dennis's rig after getting sideways after taco'ing his tie rod - we didn't get pics of him sideways:

Assman:

Me just about to push Alan's rig out of the rocks with one hand - unfortunately, the camera missed me actually pushing him out:

More of Alan getting close with the rock:

didn't heed the warnings of no tops, doors or plastic door surrounds? ;) looks like you had a great time.

We had just ran Anaconda last Wednesday w/no issues, so... And I got about a 3" tear in the soft top. The door still operates like normal, the door surround should work fine and the hole in the top is in the back.

Everybody has doors for sale. Why would that be? I'm not really concerned about it, I'm sure it'll pot right back out. If not, oh well. I'll never see it, my girlfriend and I are past the point where I need to open her door. :D

I'm more concerned about the front fenders. I hit a rock at Pyaett w/the passenger side fender, apparantley harder than I thought. If you look at the last pic Renob posted, you can see the gap now on the passenger side where the hood meets the grill. The fender is now pushed up, which also slightly bent the cowl on that side and the body panel between the fender and the door. Adding a radiator hoop and integrating it into those fenders and frame just moved up on the list.

Someone must have moved that ramp on the right, in front of the bigger rock. Plus, I had left my second spare tire at the house. :D

More proof why you should tie those fenders into the frame. You may luck out on a flop but it seems if you hit them hard enough just right they will crush into the grill.
