I received the following post card in the mail yesterday from the BLM. Sandee is thing a given to happen? I can't see this as being any good for the Off Road park in Buckeye. Anything we can do to stop it or do we even need to worry about it?

The Bureau of Land Management is conducting a competitive public land sale for a single parcel of land in Maricopa County. The land is located within the southern portion of the City of Goodyear, Arizona. The sale of the parcel would serve the public by making land available for community expansion and private economic development. Detailed information concerning the land sale may be obtained from the Notice of Realty Action published in the Federal Register March 28, 2007, or by contacting the BLM Phoenix District Office. The general public and interested parties may submit comments regarding the proposed sale to the BLM Phoenix District Manager on or before May 14, 2007.
Both Oral and sealed bids will be accepted. All sealed bids mus be received at the BLM Phoenix District Office not later than 4:15 pm., MST, on June 5, 2007. Bids must start at the appraised Fair Market Value which will be made available 30 days prior to the sealed bid closing date. Each sealed bid must be accompanied by a certified check, money order, bank draft, or cashiers check made payable to the BLM, for not less than 10% of the amount bid. The public auction will be held at 1:30 pm, MST June 7, 2007. Registration for oral bidders will begin at 11 am.
