White tanks this Sun? 4/15

Does anybody want to go play out at the whitetanks Sunday morning? I'll run whatever you want to lead!:D Kinda of a break in for my lift that I put on about 6 mos ago!:o Wayne, you busy?

Boy, is this a tough decision or what? Let me see, should I go ahead and go to Moab and wheel with Katvans, Antman and T.C., or should I do White Tanks with Wannabejeeper, who I have been trying for the past six months to get off his butt and go wheeling? Sorry Brian, already have reservations at the Slickrock campgrounds, leaving this Saturday and won't be back until next Saturday.
Remember, you have to pull the short stick all the way back to get 4 low.... :D

We could meet pretty early, like 7 or 8 AM (I'm thinking 7 because Landslide is a long trail) on Watson Road where it turns to dirt.

What do you think?

BTW, for anyone else thinking of this run, if you aren't well set up and experienced, this isn't the run for you.

We're running on sunday, meeting off watson at 8. More of a shakedown run for Brian. Probably easy stuff, nothing more than Ruler, if that. We have no clue where we are going really...haha.

I drank all last night, didn't hear from you, and the ARC member I was supposed to go with backed out.
DsrtJeeper was looking for some good ol rockcrawling action, so I loaded up and went with him. We ran Land Slide, and another trail, I don't know the name of.
It's North of the Firebird/Ruler Wash and it was SUPER cool!!

If anyone knows the name, post up!
It's like less than a mile away from Firebird/Ruler wash.

DsrtJeeper found he was 3 quarts short on motor oil halfway through Land Slide, that's the only trouble we had all day. What a GREAT day wheelin!! :cool:

Hehehe! Yeah, I had to leave him there, finish the trail, drive back to the truck grab my wallet, drive the buggy to the truck stop, buy 4 quarts of motor oil, drive back to the end of the trail and hike back to where he was.

I thought, ok, he's probably only 2 quarts low, so we added 2 and checked it, it showed add one on the dipstick, so we put the third quart in. :eek:

He had just bought the Jeep from a guy who used to work for Toys By Troy, :rolleyes: My guess is it didn't dawn on him to check all the fluids when he got it home...

Glad to hear you guys had fun. We did good too, Apetizer, tax collector, and Firebird. My POS did better than I expected and the only damage was the JK banged up the pass side step pretty good, not bad for 500miles on it.:D




Oh, and the JK did strap Josh, jbarko, off of a rock....highlight of the trip!:p :D

I have no clue as to what Bryan is talking about.

Regardless, those JK's can wheel. Even with a first time driver, it did really well. I am uber impressed. And Brad, I think Bryan might have caught the wheeling bug again, he may be out once in the next three months.
