Okay let the fun begin...

Who makes the best home internet security system? I have PC-cillin internet security 2006 now. Should I just renew for the $60.00 again or is there a better brand out now?

thanks

I like Computer Associates eTrust security suite. I have used it on 20 or 30 computers and have had good success with it. I like it because it is not a memory hog like Symantic or McAfee products.

I have a Cisco PIX firewall at home, but that may be overkill :D

Sonicwall makes a good personal firewall appliance.

For a software all-in-one package, I like Trend's PC-Cillin Internet Security.
I hate... no, let me rephrase that HATE McAffee and Symantec

I too had a Cisco Pix Classic (one of the old funky ones that are half Cisco IOS and half proprietary OS from the company that they originally bought the design from) doing NAT at home... then 3.75 years ago I had my first son and lost my computer room (at my old house).... now with the new house I was lazy and am just going through a Linksys. :o

Macintosh OS X:)

I actually used FreeBSD with 128mb of RAM to run our business for probably the first 3 years (which of course is what OSX is based on). It has a super fast IP stack and really until your firewall rules get long enough that it's just too tedious to manage it works just as good as any firewall I've used.
