I've had this ongoing issue for about a year. I have a '01 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic with 12,000 miles. I put cobra exhaust and a jet kit on as soon as i got it (in 2001). Now, especially from a stop, it'll sputter like i'm mis-firing or something. Full throttle is fine, just once I increase the gas, it'll sputter a couple times and then go.
I've replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs several times (they don't look too lean or rich either), fuel pumps sounds fine, and added injector cleaner a couple times. Could this be a timing issue? BTW, I had it jetted and tuned in South Dakota (any issue with altitude?). Any ideas? Let me know.
