I'm not sure what I'll be in the mood for. I just want to get out and have some fun, we can figure it out when we get there unless you had something particular in mind.
I was thinking a quick run through box canyon, go up to the waterfall and watch some people break stuff. Then maybe over to one of the more moderate trails?

I have friday off, its a holiday... I'd wouldn't mind going out then.
My wife and I were thinking about a short hike somewhere on Saturday. So if you want to off road to a trail head, I could probably convince her to go.

PM's sent. Looks like we'll be doing a box canyon run into something more moderate, say the Cabins. The day will most likely start early and end early since I want to get back in time for that poker game.
Anyone else interested let me know!

My phone number is (425) 830-9124. Call me with any questions or if you need to tell me something tomorrow morning before the run. My CB radio will be set to channel #19 on the way there, and #4 once I get there (for the remainder of the run). My handle is "x-ray" btw.
I'll personally probably be out there around 8:50 or right at 9:00 airing down. Price road entrance (right after the railroad tracks if driving south on 79).
Look forward to tomorrow, have a good friday night everyone!

Oh, if anyone has pictures they could post it would be nice. Im going to consolidate some of the video from today and share it with everyone on here.

Hi All, had a great time today. It was nice to meet you Xan & Dave! And good to see you Allen again! Sorry I wasn't much of a shutter bug today, don't know what got into me. I think I took one shot of George on the waterfall & that's it.
My highlight was learning about those ant-lion bugs from Jack. I know, weird, but how cool was that? Now I've got something new to keep my eyes open for . . .
Anyhow, hope to hook up again with you guys, it was a fun day. Oh, and I wonder if that guy ever got out of Martinez Canyon? Yikes!!

I had a good time too, did some stuff I didn't think I could do, watched Allen scrape around, so I scraped around some too. Dropped into a hole that was about two inches deeper than I thought....bang... Diane, you're right, the ant lions are cool. Maybe next time we can net one. Did the bowl up above the cabins, I thought that was cool. We met some nice people too and, yes, there were a lot of Toyotas up there. Life is good. All home safe, except for the poor soul I saw on the beeline who had flipped his SUV(or maybe a big truck) right onto its top along with the boat and trailer. This was in the southbound lane and both vehicle and trailer were headed back up north. Sad, hope no one was hurt.

Thats funny you mention that. We were driving northbound (right after we left cottonwood) and almost experienced a really bad accident. A large dualie was pulling one of those big campers behind it, one of those six wheelers if you know what I mean. I was waiting to pass the camper when he decides to put on his signal to turn left (so think about this, he's going to be crossing the passing lane to get off the highway). I slow down and allow him plenty of room, well just as he starts to turn left, some MORON CHICK on her cell phone in a little honda tries to pass and gets about half way between me and the trailer in the passing lane. S L A M S on her brakes, all four wheels lock, and cuts back in front of me and just barely avoids hitting the *** end of the trailer.
Everone on 79 is in such a hurry to pass others its annoying.

I know what you mean about everybody being in a hurry on 79 yesterday. As we were leaving Cottonwood Rd. an FJ Cruiser came burning out behind us, practically got air coming over the cattle guard, slammed on his brakes, barely stopped, and then turned left (south) onto 79, right in front of a pack of cars coming north. I gasped because I thought we were about to witness a really bad wreck!
We saw that guy on the Beeline too. Couldn't figure out how he got all the way over on the wrong side of the highway upside-down? Maybe he was going the wrong way on the road like the lady we saw way out in A.J. - travelling in the wrong direction on a divided highway. It was a crazy day for driving, for sure!
