I run Royal Purple 75W140 Synthetic Gear Oil, in both my diff's ('04 Rubicon). I used to get it from Summit Racing for $10 a jug plus a "handling charge". I found this site the other day selling it for $10 a jug SHIPPED !

Just thought I would share, all the auto parts places around me only carry Mobil 1 at $17 plus tax. I have no affiliation with these guys and have yet to order with them, but will post if the transaction goes sour.

Good find. I'm actually in need of some and have been meaning to get out to NAPA... I'll give them a try. I'll be buying 8 qts so the savings adds up, that's for sure.

Thanks for the info Rich. We spoke about this through PM. I ordered some yesterday from them and I received an email saying it shipped today via UPS. Pretty good turn around time.:D It should be here early next week.

I usually get it from checker auto. I dont remember what they sell it for though. I actually am getting close to needing some for my truck. I am sure it is very good savings when you are filling a Dana 80 and 60.

All the BMW guys use royal purple back home because its good quality stuff and can stand up to european performance. We use it on both our sports cars (euro and import) and the jeep. It hasnt let us down on any of them. Downside is the price but if you buy through someone you can save a pretty penny

TBH I didnt even know they sold it locally.

Last time I bought some from NAPA it was only $8.99 a qt. Did the price change since I last got some???

I like the stuff. I don't know if it works any better then the other stuff, but I like it because now I can tell what is leaking. I have the standard brown oil, the nice red tranny/TC fluid, and then the RP for the diffs.

You actually look? I do it by smell. Diff fluid has a distinct aroma, especially 80-90w. I'll never forget that smell.

You can also taste them :D

Well, I live out in the boonies. Sometimes it's easier for me order stuff than run all over town looking for it. I was just passing the info along as I had recently been asked where I got it.

Though a Napa just moved in down the street, I'll have to check them out.

I live up against the Gila Indian Reservation off of Hunt Highway and Higley. It used to really be the Boonies, now it's just the Boonies. ;)
