Hey Scully,
Would love to go on this run with you, but just found out I've gotta work. Have a great run and say "Hello" to the kids for me. I'm on a corporate run, not as much fun as with you!

Dad, if you have to work, can I borrow your jeep? I promise I won't scratch it!:D
Have fun on your trip!
NJsurf, we're thinking of hitting Raw Deal and at least Lower Terminator. It's not set in stone though.
We were looking for a change of pace from FJ, so if you have some trails in mind, we'd be more than happy to run them.

You'll be fine with what we're planning on running. TJ's got some gps cords, so if we don't get a trail leader we can fumble our way through.:)

Isn't that the way you guys always wheel? :D
Wish I could go but I'm sure our 3 month old would complain. :)

Sorry folks for being that guy who held up your trip. Thanks for all your help and patience. I got my junk home. I'll be trailering it to the shop as soon as I can.
Thank you Bryan and TJ for towing me up to the staging area and waiting with me until a truck arrived. With my cell phone dying, it was a real life saver.
I hope to have a successful run with you guys some time in the future. If I need a new engine; that will probably be awhile...

Had a little trouble on WhiteLine running Lower Terminator. Please review and comment:

But to be honest with you, here's where our troubles began:

We just should have stayed home.
Another set of problems initiated itself earlier in the day:

It was all this little guys fault, I swear.

So does anyone know where I can get a new hood, fender, windshield frame and some bondo for real cheap? :o

Jake: Protecting his domain even when it's not going anywhere...
Damn, TJ. That sucks. Body damage isn't all that bad when done a little bit at a time, but, damn...
For me, getting a new engine will prolly be more expensive, but yours looks more painful. I feel for you, man...

Kit, heres a link for you. http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/jeep_off-road.html
They cost a bit more than I thought, but if you blocks toast, upgrade!
TJ, since your not sleeping on my couch, I'm assuming Marcine took it ok?:o
It was one of those days, maybe we should take up knitting!
Let me know if you two need help with anything.

I started on the right line but tapped my tranny skid and that caused the front tires to whip down into the crack, the rear end just shimmied right around with it no matter what kind of pulling we did in the opposite direction. Ended up just totally off kilter with a big rock blocking my exit, the pulling out is what destroyed the front end.
We've done this obstacle before, I think we've even done it wet, but it had my arse yesterday. I think it might have gotten somone else yesterday too because their was a whole bunch of fresh glass on the rocks and some pretty red paint on the wall. Looked like a few people took the bypass too.

It should just buff out
So what's the scoop with Kit's motor ?? Did it seize mid obstacle ? Flop ? Just die ?

That really sucks TJ. What's this trip have in common with the Upper Ajax trip? Oh, Bryan that's right. :p
Jason has a red hood for sale but really you could probably get it looking reasonable with a couple whacks from the back side of your hand or a rubber malet on the backside of the hood.

damn TJ that sucks......i took the bypass for that while trying to catch up with the other group...I'm not sure how they traversed that becuase they were way past it when i got up to them....Kit, good luck with the engine, and like always....if u have to fix it, might as well upgrade in the process

Since the destacking/cleanup trip, White Line is way tougher. There used to be a big rock to use on the way down the obstacle. It's a lot more dangerous now.

It seized mid obstacle. I beleive because of the angle of the rig at the time (as in the pics). Normally, there should be enough oil in the block in that situation, so there's something else wrong. It'll be looked at next week. Made it a real b*tch to get it off the rocks...

TJ, sorry to hear about the Jeep. I've got some rubber mallots handy, I'm sure the kids would love to help you pound out the "dents";) Wish I could have been with you, but I was taking some city slickers who had a great time going through little mud holes and some small bumps. If I can be of any help, just let me know.
