You really don't want to start this again do you???? Well ok as far as I am
concerned the trip leader should call the trail as no-alcohol if that is
what they want. After all the trip leader is suppose to be the responsible
lead person for the trip. If someone leads a trail I want to go on and they
say no alcohol then I will not bring any. If they do not specify then I will
bring a couple.
Just my 2 cents.

While the server is back up, let's put this topic behind us too, shall we?
Aww, c'mon, it'll be fun!
Please do not respond to me directly concerning this. Let's all share with
the group!
Personally, I'll have a few whenever and wherever I feel like it. I would
like to think I use good judgment in deciding when and where. I like to
relax on the trail, If someone finds it just absolutely abhorred, that's too
bad, at least until they work up the balls (figuratively speaking) to say
something to me, at which point, I will gladly leave my present company.
I think if you are an idiot or a dweeb, or you just can't control yourself,
you shouldn't drink on the trail or anywhere else for that matter. Honestly,
I think there are some people who just can't seem to handle and control
themselves as well as others. If you have trouble deciding if you fit in one
of these categories (or all of them) let me know and I'll be happy to decide
for you. I also think that if you are an idiot or a dweeb, you shouldn't
waste your time trying to flame me, your opinion doesn't really matter
anyway, (especially not to me) you should know this by now, because no one
has ever taken you serious your whole life. If has appeared someone has
taken you serious, then trust me, you are delusional.
If you do fit into one or more of these categories, chances are you'll do
stupid things that will irritate the people around you. Some of the people
around you are sissies and won't have the courage to tell you your an ***.
Rest assured if I'm around, and you are irritating (Drinking or not) I will
tell you. That's just the kind of guy I am. I would also expect that in
regards to me from anyone else who deserves respect on this list. I say this
because some of you may not deserve the respect you think you do.
Before you point the finger at me, please note there are three more pointing
back at you!

The only way I know how to do it is to take some HCL and pour it on your
keyboard... let it sit for a minute, and shortly... no more email!
This works best on a notebook computer... but if you do it on a regular PC
you need to pour the HCL on the motherboard for a quicker effect.

I belive it was Robert Holmes asked a question about performance of the Old Man Emu springs, right? While not on my Jeep, I do have 2 close friends who run them on their YJ's.
The one I'm most familiar with: Guy bought the springs used about 4 yrs ago. Ran them spring-under, with a 2 inch body lift, boomerang shackles and 33's. Ramped a little over 1100 with everything connected, so YES!, they flex extremely well. He's still running them, just has gone SOA for the last 3 yrs. Springs still are holding up very well under some pretty hard use.
I believe they only come in 2.5" lift, so you'll need to do other things (ie the body lift) to clear big tires if SUA. However, you won't need to purchase new springs when/if you ever go SOA.
A great working spring, but a bit expensive. Alcans are another option. Available in nearly any lift from 0" to 6" and are $150 ea (any height), if I recall.

I drink a lot on the trail. Gatorade, water, Diet Coke (gotta watch my
girlish figure), and occaisionally (when someone offers one and I feel like
partying) a few blown non-diet Coke (or Pepsi)
I'm usually pretty responsible when I do drink the above mentioned
beverages, but sometimes I do get a little wacked on the caffeine.

Realistically, I would think you would not want your shock to be

My brother has a nice tandem trailer, and a lifted XJ to tow it

pull it yet or not. We need to contact the sheriffs dept to report
it, then either BLM or State Trust to notify and make sure it is ok

You really don't want to start this again do you???? Well ok as far as I am
concerned the trip leader should call the trail as no-alcohol if that is
what they want. After all the trip leader is suppose to be the responsible
lead person for the trip. If someone leads a trail I want to go on and they
say no alcohol then I will not bring any. If they do not specify then I will
bring a couple.
Just my 2 cents.

This is the same item as the Rock Crusher trail rack seen at http://www.tellico4x4.com/racksrc.htm or at http://www.central4wd.com/store/itemdetail.asp?ID=2906. Will consider full/part trade (depending on items) for stock, straight 15" Jeep wheel(s) (will be getting 9.5" tires) or possibly for a full passenger side door for 1993 YJ.

Im not much of a roll cage fan... :) but I have to say that I think Joe does make some great points and that you could probably get more for your money. A friend of mine had the front section built similar to mine(including the front hoop through the dash) for 350.00.

Here ya go Bill...
Just refer to the latest alcohol on the trail poll from 8/21/2001.
Looks split. Poll sample is small though.

My brother has a nice tandem trailer, and a lifted XJ to tow it
with. Friday would be WAY to soon, we still don't know if we can
pull it yet or not. We need to contact the sheriffs dept to report
it, then either BLM or State Trust to notify and make sure it is ok
to pull it.
