If the codes come and go like that.. It sounds to me like a loose connection somewhere. If ti is a couple of different sensors doing it, it might be in a wire connector somewhere. Possibly a wire bundle that serves the two connections.???

Thats my guess...
Good luck

Like Ross, I would also like to the AZRC for hosting the crawl'in
show last weekend. It was well orginized and a lot of fun. A dispute
over the points at the end was handled calmly and fair. I was
fortunate enough to partisipate as a spotter and learned that there
is more to it than watching your buddy drive. I hope that this can
continue to develop so that all can partisipate, I'd like to see
class' that allow moderatly equiped vehicles compete, for instance
36" tires or less.

Dose anyone know the final standings? I know that the tubed out Land
Cruiser took first and Twister took second, how about the rest?

You probably need a 32 tooth speedo gear. If you use the club
discount at Darnner it should only be about $17. Stu has directions
on how to change it on his web site.

You need to crank your computer up to 150 amps! Try 220v! j/k
;-)

I know last time I uploaded to the AZVJC server there is a max.
file size. I won't take them if they are too big. And didn't give me
an error msg.

From the site:
Edit Gallery - Displays a simple form for you to upload new
photos and edit or delete existing photos. Click "Edit Image" to
open a form page where you may change the description of the
picture. Click "Delete Image" to permanently remove the picture
from the server and all associated links. At this time only JPG
images are allowed. Limit the size of images you upload to
100kb, larger image files tend to "time-out." All images are
processed to be reduced, if necessary, to the maximum size of
640pix High and/or 640pix Wide, also the JPG compression/
quality factor is set to 50%. This is to keep the size of the files
resonable, while still displaying a decent image.

Hope it helps!

David,
Look at the chart, 4.56 with 35" tires = 36 tooth gear.
Why would it matter what you had originally? I'm unaware of a
punctuation error. I'm not upset, but you always seem to have some
smart aleck remark or comment.

The person who originally asked for this information now has it, and
seemed to understand how to use the chart.

Hello All,

Jason LaLiberty is leading an Unspecified trail run on Saturday, March 9, 2002.

When: 9:00amish
Where: TBD
Rating: None
Length: 4-5 hours
CB Channel:

I am planning on doing my SYE on Saturday. The location is tentative. I can do it at my house. If someone offers to help that would rather me come to them, I can do that. I also have had an offer to use someones place that has air tools. I am planning on calling Dick's and having them make my drive shaft on Saturday. I was quoted about two hours to make it if they don't have one in stock.

Thanks in advance

Jason

Assuming the the shocks are correctly sized for the 4.5" lift, you'ld have
to extend the bumpstops down about 1.5"+- if you use them on a 3" lift, else
you'll run the risk of bottoming them out/overcompressing them, and that
will kill a shock real quickly.

Cheers,
Fred

I have found that all of those charts and "calculators" are inaccurate.
I run 4.56 gears with 35" tires and I believe I ended up with a 37
tooth gear. I believe Stu also has this set-up and runs a 37-tooth
gear. I believe he also has stated that he's found the charts to be
off. Stu?

Ok here is my scenario!
I have 3.73 Gears. I upgraded from a
225/75/15 to a 30/9.5/15 with no real spedo problems
maybe 1 or 2 miles off. Now I have 32/11.50.15 MTR's and I'm off 5
miles an hour at 60. chart says 33 tooth some say 32 tooth.
Does anyone know for sure? I would rather have it read slower than
faster (less miles racked up)
So if anyone has life experiences and would liek to share it with me
I'd appreciate it :)

P.S.
Thanks to everyone for their advice. It has given me enough info to
feel comfortable with a gear purchase.

This is probably due to manufacturers exaggerating on tire size. Actual tire
size my be the key to getting the correct speedo gear. Also because of tire
wear your speedometer is only somewhat accurate. I think the larger the tire
size the more inaccurate the speedo gets with tire wear.

I am sure if Joe W. has some free time he can give us a detailed analysis.

Yes....the 4.56 speedo charts are usually wrong....they all copied the one
wrong one so now we have an internet full of bad chargs! LOL

I've checked mine with my GPS and it is within .5 MPH of being dead on.

37 tooth gear and 4.56 gears and 35" MT/R tires

I have 3.73 gears, upgraded to 33" tires, used the charts, changed my
speedo gear to 33. At 65 MPH (Speedo) GPS reads 64.7.

I have a 99TJ and it has been doing that for some time off and on. When
this happens I push on the dash assembly and every thing goes back to
normal. It must be one of the plugs going into the back of the instrument
cluster. I no longer have warranty so someday I will have to fix it my
self, if it reaches the top of my list of projects.

Does anyone know what it means when the engine light comes on and in the
odometer it says "no bu5" or "no bus"(digital)? It's come on twice this
week for about 3 seconds and then turns off. My "airbag" light comes on
too
a couple times in the last week also. Any suggestions so I don't have to
take it to the dealer and get charged for something easy? I have 35500
miles on it.
