Hey Kornleg31, where are you located? I'm in Pebble creek at 149th ave. and Indian School. Be glad to help out a Newbee... :)

Yep, there is a reason they are not called convertible! :D If you come up to Sedona, I would be happy to show you, or I could send you the video. Yes, the Jeep owner's video spends 22 minutes showing how to operate the top, and 6 minutes on how to 4-wheel!

Yes, the Jeep owner's video spends 22 minutes showing how to operate the top, and 6 minutes on how to 4-wheel!:rolleyes:That's because most owners will put the top up and down more times than they will engage 4 wheel drive.

Fiveball, now you got this old DIY redneck thinking! I have to ask, has anyone ever done a home made sun roof in a hardtop? I'm thinking some plexiglass and rtv. The top will be coming completely off soon. I'm just thinking 10 months ahead when it gets cold again lol. Or maybe just cut out the hole and put hinges on and some way to secure it hmmmm. Oh, the old lady is gonna love this one........

the entire wrangler training video (that came with it) is on youtube.com I can't check it right now from work... do a search.
they spend about 20 minutes on the top removal... and about 5 on 4LO :)

Honestly, I do not think the video is all that helpful. I learned by observation of others. Its really best to have someone show you in person. I went to the dealership when I first got mine and nobody there could show me. They just offered the video. There are alot of helpful people here that are more than willing to show you.

Rob you are a funny guy. I still have the same top. If I recall, you are on your 2nd one in less than a year. Yep, you do have more practice !!!!! :D :D :D

If a 98 TJ top is not much different than a 94 YJ, just unsnap every snap and unzip every zipper until it comes off. Installation: reverse above. Worked for me...
