So another chapter in the scenic pleasure run segment...

Monday morning Tom Fooshee, Big Dave and I headed out for the "highest peak in southern AZ"....The Harquahala Mountain Observatory.

We topped off with gas and grub and headed towards Wickenburg up the 60. Once in Wickenburg we continued on the 60 out to Aguilla and to Eagle Eye rd....turned south and headed for the turn off some 18 miles south of the 60.

Look at the upper left corner...there is the eagle eye...

We arrived at the trailhead turnout area and aired down for a comfy ride to the top...

After checking out the information and history plaques and signing the guest book...we headed out..to some of the most beautiful Arizona desert Ive seen. The recent rains have made the desert vegetation very green...

Actually I was and continue to be down for the count. Jeep needed brakes and come to find out I grabbed the wrong rotor size. Plus somewhere in the process blew out a front brake line.

Can't fix it till this evening.
