I just installed 32/11.50/15 MTR's on my stock rims and now I can't fit my spare tire on the back. No one in the valley has one in stock so I'm turing to you guys. If anyone has backspaced rims they have laying arround and want to sell that would be helpfull as well.
Thanks,

Subject: RE: axle swap done!

Les,

I was really REALLY impressed with the setup you purchased... the D44 with
the OX and Super44 axles is quite the bulletproof setup. The quality of the
axle, the ease of setup for the axle control cable and the SIZE of those
Super44 axleshafts make me believe that a Dana 60 isn't as necessary as it
once was...

For those of you who have Dana44 axles and wish to upgrade from the factory
setup to new gears and locker, I'd highly recommend that you consider the OX
Locker with the Super 44 axles... I don't know if the Super44 axles are
available for the ARB yet, but I can tell you that I am incredibly impressed
with the OX setup when combined with the Super44 axles. This is one SOLID
setup.

If I had to do it over again, I'd probably skip the ARB and go with the OX
and Super44 axles. The addition of a good solid truss to beef up those wimpy
TJ axle tubes and one would be hard pressed to justify the additional weight
and loss of ground clearance offered by a D60.

By the way, Chris and Stu really did most of the work; I showed up late and
really didn't help you guys that much at all... Stu drove quite a distance
to show up and Chris gave up his entire Sunday... Good job guys.

Kind Regards,

Joe West

By the way Les... I think you owe Chris and his wife a NICE dinner... <grin>

This is not hard to do. With a 3.5" lift and 33s you should clear with very
minimal trimming if any at all. Your flairs a very flexible and what I have
done in the past is loosen them up on the ends pull them as far as they will
go, mark the fenders for the new mounting holes and the cut, remove the
flairs, trim the metal and drill new mounting holes, reinstall the flairs.

Hello All,

Mike Hiett is leading a Martinez Cabin trail run on Wednesday, March 6, 2002.

When: Arround 10 am
Where: Meet at the Texaco outside florence Jct.
Rating: 2.5+
Length: most of the day
CB Channel: 4

Testing out my new lift and 32/11.50/15 tires. Heading thru box canyon to the Cabin and maybe up to the Mill or farther depending on how the jeep is performing. Would like at least 1 other person for safety reasons.

Martinez Cabin is a wonderful trail for the "new" 4-wheeler with his stock vehicle and family.

This trail will take you into Martinez Canyon which has to be one of the most beautiful canyons in the area, in league with Sedona red bluffs!!

You can have lunch under the Cottonwood trees at the old homestead and you may explore the old mill.

Stock vehicle, stock tires and novice drivers, this would be a wonderful trail for you!!

Enjoy and remember to TREAD Lightly!

I'll help. We definitely want to get that out of there. If it was
stolen and abandoned there, then I don't feel that reflects on us
wheelers. But if some wheeler left it there, then it does. In either
case, there's no telling what others (gov't agancies, greenies, general
public) might think so we need to get that out of there ASAP.

We probably should report it and, if it is stolen, move it out of
Martinez Canyon to some point where the insurance company or BLM or
whoever can get to it.

If the JU guys want to donate money, let's take it and then send it to
the ASA4WDC or the Blue Ribbon Coalition or some other related charity.

Hey Chris,

Wanna take an exploratory run to it this weekend and see how it looks
to get it out?

If the guy is really wanting to put up money, I personally don't
care, but he can buy Texaco gas cards, or something like that, and
when we meet at Texaco, use the card for whoever is helping on the
pull.
