I would like to relay some statistics. Last night I sent a simple post to the AZVJC (Un-Organized) and to the Arizona Dust Devils (organized) forums requesting input on axles for the front Dana 30 on my CJ. Thru 2 pm today I have received ONE reply from the 1000+ AZVJC members and it was a smartass/comedic comment telling me to buy a Dana 60. From the Arizona Dust Devils 27 members I have received 4 responses with suggestions, personal experiences or questions, but no smart ***/comedic remarks. I got the same type of statistical response when I have asked other questions. Is the problem that I have a CJ and of the 1000 or so members of THE AZVJC there are very few CJ's . Or are my questions to stupid to warrant an intelligent response. This may be just an anomaly, but I am starting to get a complex. Just curios if anyone else experiences this kind of thing. Based on these statistics I would conclude that organized is better than un-organized.

I bought my TJ over a year ago with a 6" Skyjacker lift already on
it. At present, I have no lockers...no spare tire carrier...(I have
35's)...no special gearing...nothing more than a stock Dana 35. Can
anyone walk me through the modification process? Tell me the pros
and cons of replacing my Dana 35 with a 44 or just doing a mod on the
35? And as far as lockers...I know this is an age-old question...but
what would you all suggest? I am starting at ground zero...I'd like
as much input as I can possibly get. I have no knowledge and I'm
wanting to learn. Someone willing to show me how to proceed would be
a big plus.

Subject: Jeeps and Bronco for sale

I was out wandering around my neighborhood and found these 4X4's for
sale:

1983 CJ7 with soft top, Rancho shocks, shackle lift and what looks like
BFG AT's about 31". I couldn't get close enough to get a good look as it
is behind locked gates. Looks to be mostly stock and in great shape.
Sign says 4800 or best offer. Call 480-987-1032 or cell 480-529-2890.

1969 CJ5, V6, 3sp, PTO winch, full cage and no top. Best I could find
out is it was running a year ago but has been siting in the back field
since. Seats are there but shot. At least one flat. Mostly all stock and
I could not find any frame damage or rust on body. Looks like a good
solid project. 2400.00 Call Frank at 480-987-3194.

My next door neighbor has a nicely fixed up Bronco he got somewhere( It
would take too long to explain) it is orange, rebuilt 302 w/auto trans,
cut out and trimmed wheel wells with I believe 33's, don't know what
lift. I think it is 7500.00. If anyone is interested I will try and find
out more.

material for a top they are not using? From what I can see you need to
hold down the windjammer at the floor behind the seats with a rail like
on the out side of the top. Is this correct? Haven't done this one

Hi Chris,
I've done my fair share of glassing, it's not as easy as it looks. I've
done surfboards, heater casings and motorcycle fairings with mixed
results. Anybody can take to fibre glassing the first time and get
something that's tough and functional. Getting results that are visually
pleasing takes a lot more knowledge and experience. Getting the right base
material, fillers and resins is crucial to achieving professional looking
glassing. There are at least a half a dozen really professional commercial
pages out there that show you step by step how to glass, tell you how to
choose materials, how much you're going to need etc and even walk you
through a few different applications step by step. You can order all the
stuff you'll need online. Let your fingers do the walking, start with google.

to make an answer to a question be everything to everyone.

1. If you don't know the answer and you don't answer, you are ignoring the
person....and they get upset with you.

2. If you don't know the answer and you fake it, someone will call you a

3. If you don't know the answer and you say so (to avoid causing #1), you

5. If you know the answer but won't tell them, and someone knows you know,
you are an asshole.

Yeah....it is getting pretty tough to answer a question on here anymore.

Yes, my expeirnce with those is there is a rail type device you slide into at the top. and ties off at the the back. You mighthave to go to your favorite hardware store and pick up some tie downs so you can tie it down in the back. They ususally come with the kit. The top peice screws into the top of the windsheild and either slides in from the side, or just slide in from the front and wrap it back. (Make sense? its early and I am not awake yet). Look for a tag on the inside of the materail and try to find out what brand it is. Also, check all the other peices to make sure they are made by the same brand too. Different brands do use different mounting styles. Hope that helps.
