Will a 2003 TJ airbox fit on a 1997 TJ

We are putting a snorkel on a 1997 TJ 4.0 but it currently has an Airaid intake system. We have access to a 2003 complete TB connection thru airbox. The problem. The snokel fits 97-98 and it is a different P/N for 99-06, I don't know if it because the airbox is different or something else. Is the airbox for these two similar enough to fit, do I need to mod it does anyone know!!!!?????

I have recently had a 97 and an 05 next to each other. The only obvious difference is that the 05 has more sensors attached. Beyond that???
