What's what... The stock Dana 60 diff cover is paper thin... I can already see the lip peeling back before I even run it.

What options are out there.... new diff cover or a rock ring ???

What's decent whats not... I looked at the Dynatrac cover and can't justify spending $200.00 on a diff cover,,, same for Cranes.....

Call Todd/Dave - they have a HD 3/8" thick diff cover for around $100 if I recall.

Obviosly the "thick" stock cover is the cheapest.... and a definate improvement over the thin D60 cover on it now.... But will it just be a waste of time ? is it gonna peal back just as easy... REAR diff as well... I did grind the lip on the D60 too

110.00 is cheap insurance for those expensive gears and locker.. You'll never worry about smacking a diff agian...

X2 Ive smacked the poo out of mine, and it still looks good. I peeled the 1/8th HD cover before I installed the new one. IMO I wouldnt get the 1/8th either get the PS from Simon or the one from DesertFab and dont look back.

I agree, goes with the saying "do it once right", of course, we all have to work within our budget...

If you have a torch and a welder, you can do like I did. Get some 1/4" straps and make like an old fashion iron worker.

It was cheap because I had the 1/4" and it was kind of fun, heating up steel, pounding it into shapes and welding it all together. Just another option...
