A great test is to get a can of carb cleaner or really just about anything
and spray it around all mating surfaces. If the engine tone changes at all
then you found your leak.

I would think maybe a warped intake manifold? (or a loose bolt on it) As
the engine heats up, it causes a vacuum leak? Just an idea.

Pretty quick tire wear and on-road handling ideosincracies are the main side
affects. Will place greater strain on the axle shafts on road, since there
will be no differentiation (except where the rubber meets the road).

Generally, not advisable for a daily driver. Works well in a vehicle that's
set up mainly for the trail....though.

On a side note, I love my ARB's, and being able to turn them off (including
the rear) allows for a lot more manuverability, esp. on a tight trail trying
to get the proper line. Engaged, they're a spool, so you get the best of
both worlds.

Two of the tires are nearly new, the third has 50% tread, and the forth has about 25% tread.

They are mounted and balanced on 15x8 Gambler style aluminum rims (4" b/s). These rims are all true, but have been on the trail a bit, so they're not exactly shinny new...but very functional.

A fifth rim w/o tire may also be available for the cost of mounting/balancing a replacement. It has a slight bend to it, but makes a good spare rim.

Thanks for all the enthusiasm and exclamation marks Steve ;-) My ride is
nothing if not practical. I had trouble finding storage space so I added a
big cabinet in the rear and some ammo cans. This gives me all the space I
need. The mirrors are ugly as sin but very functional. They are OEM for
my rig (a Korando). The roof isn't that pretty either, but it sure is
useable! Listen to Shaun's laws concerning soft tops;

* any soft top that doesn't get opened frequently is worse than a hard top.

*any soft top that cannot be opened from your seat will not get used often.

*any soft top that takes more than 1 minute to put back on will not be used
often.

*** the above laws do not apply to people who live in areas where the
climate allows them to leave their roof off all the time.

It takes about 1.5 seconds to open this roof, and about 15 seconds to close
it, both of which can be done without getting out of your seat. I open and
close it 4 or 5 times a day, on the expressway, then on the trail
etc. Even in winter it's no big deal to open it, even if just to put some
groceries in the back.
While the roof's you can completely remove definitely look much cooler they
don't often come off. Over here it's too cold for part of the year ( 3 or
4 months) and then in summer we have monsoons. Buddies with removable
roof's only open them less than 10 times a year...... :-(

Ya, but what's REALLY great about that setup is there is no need for a long
arm kit. Check out that angle on the front control arms. With no need for a
long arm kit, I could save my dollars for one of those cool coffee can
