Well, it was a great day to start out the year for sure. Did some good wheelin' and met some great new wheelin' buddies.

We arrived at Watson around 9:45 and go started towards the trail about 10:30. In attendance was Mark Current, Jason Silva, Roger Tomas, Brian Senska, Dave (sorry I didn't catch a last name), and myself, Justin Olson.

After airing down and disconnecting we took off towards Tie Rod Wash. This is a short little trail that is fairly simple. Just the normal old wash stuff with quite a few big boulders and a couple small waterfalls. The only place that was some what of an obstacle was the opening to the trail. You could either go up the rock wall and over, or you could try and squeeze through. However you had to have good articulation to squeeze through. Most everyone opted to go up and over then Roger Tomas went around. Of course running a nice locked up, SOA YJ he mad it look easy.

After exiting the trail we took a quick jog over to the base of Monster Hill/Toyota Hill. Brian and I opted to hang out at the bottom and watch the others take the massive climb up this huge hill! From the bottom it was quite the sight! Dave and Roger, in their full locked rigs both walked up the hill without a problem. Next up was Mark in his XJ and Jason in his TJ. Jason kicked and squirmed up through the hard spot while Mark was stuck at the bottom. Lockers would have helped both.

Next up we decided to try and find Scorpion. None of us ever heard of this trail until Roger mentioned it. It was a fairly simple find not to mention a big sign right by the first fall that says "SCORPION". The first waterfall fully denied Jason, Mark and Myself in our open rigs. Dave, Roger and Brian all walked up this monster fall without a problem. We decided this was the water fall that separates the men from the boys! From this point we walked a good portion of this trail only to find out that it gets quite gnarly the farther back you make it. No one wanted to try this.

Next we headed over to the start of Intimidator and played on the waterfalls just off to the side of Intimidator. Jason was first up and managed to run right up the falls with no probem being his second time up. Next up was my open TJ and me. I will say that my cheesy AT's did not help at all. After a few attempts and not enough gas I finally made it. Had on close call and thought I was going backwards onto my lid. Front tires both came into the air a lil ways. Everyone else finally made it up the falls without much problem.

Once at the top Roger and Brian decided it was time to get heading home. Mark, Jason, Dave and I decided to try a climb by Intimidator. Made it most of the way when it got really loose and couldn't get much further. Jason and I walked to the top to find that the top was the exit of Landslide. Quite the view from up there I will say!

From there we decided to all get heading home. All in all it was a great day. No one broke anything and we were all there just to play around and see what we could find. It was a great group people the turned out and I look forward to wheeling with you all again. Hopefully someone will get some pix up in this thread.

Scorpion is a cool trail. The only bad part is you once you get to the end, you have to turn around and come back down the trail... all the way back down to the out that is above the waterfall.
