As I was driving today, I noticed that my dome light would not turn off. I turned the light switch over and it didn't turn off. I disabled the door disable fuse, lights still on. I then pulled the IOD Fuse under the hood, light out, but no instruments work.
So, could it be the light switch?
Thanks in advance..

Has anyone had this issue? Just wanted to confirm that it's most likely the lightswitch. Thanks!

I had this problem last night. Then I remembered I had too much to drink and forgot to turn the switch off.
Yes sad story. :D

sounds like your switch has shorted.... AND OR the wiring to the switch has melted from to much current running through it... thus being a short in the switch or at the bulbs somewhere.

Try removing the fuse if the light is on all the time. Depends on year of Jeep.

It was the alarm system. We took the connection of the dome light away from the alarm module. Dome light works great. All is well. NO GHOSTS! haha!

I've never liked useing the dome light as the door opened sensor input on alarms.
I'd rather tie a series wire into all of the switches or install secondary switches into the system. The feedback that can come through can cause exactly what you described ehre.
