I saw in the March Petersons off road magazine a new carb by Holley
for off road use. It features one piece vent tubes and a modified
metering block to eliminte spillover at severe angles. Looked pretty
interesting and wondered if anyone has tried it yet. Also where is
the best place to buy Holley locally or internet(price).

I run a Detroit in the rear and a Powertrax NoSlip in the front with 35's,
4.56 gears, and a 4:1 tcase. I have run these lockers in Moab, Axle Alley,
Terminator, Predator, etc and even on some snow runs and I've never had any
problems with them in 2 years.

From what I've learned from talking with other Jeep owners as well as owning
them is that the full Detroit is better behaving in the rear than a NoSlip.
The NoSlip is a really good choice for a front diff that does not have
locking hubs. My front NoSlip is completely transparent until you shift into
4WD.

Stu is correct. You'd need to get a different carrier for the 4.56:1 gears.
I think the break is at 3.77:1 for the Dana 30.
