Subject: New Desert Dweller

I just moved here 3 weeks ago from Eastern Washington state, I have a
yellow 77 CJ5 that I bought in December and have been restoring, it
was a two owner Jeep with 67,000 original miles and was sitting since
91, I pulled the 304 and rebuilt it (due to some dried hard gaskets
it had a few leaks). I lifted the Jeep 2.5" and gave it five new Pro
comp 32-11.50-15 tires on five new polished aluminum 15x10 wheels,
new seats, security boxes, radiator and a few more money eating
items. I heard about the sight while talking to John I believe at
Hunter Offroad about extending the roll cage,( I have a 4 year old
daughter want her to be safe as possible) I am looking forward to
getting a little dirt on the tires, I hauled it from Washington to
Arizona so it has about 50 miles on the motor, so she I hope will be
ready for some serious fun in the sun, oh yah my fiance Amanda spent
about 4 hrs. washing and waxing it, since that also had not been done
in ten years, figured I better mention that or I may get in trouble.
Hope to see some of you in the dirt soon.

My thought was that I get the starter kit, and an SYE.
I believe superlift comes with front lowers, shocks,
endlinks, pitman arm and maybe front trac bar. They
have an upgrade kit as well that is about equal to the
remainder of the price that a full kit would cost me
so I don't see a large expense in finishing the kit
off. I believe that should be enough to get me
started in those trails that only require the x-tra
height. I already have the 33's I got an almost new
set for free but they are in NY and will probably not
make it on for awhile. I really don't plan on doing
the heavy duty wheeling (soon anyway) because I have
that nasty lein and no back up car. I also am not
realy motivated to upgrade the axles so my tire height
will be restricted there, the biggist I think I will
go is 35's anyway.

Subject: Mirror relocation bracket (TJ)

I bought the Steel Whores Mirror Relocation bracket today from ORU. They
honored the macromotive price for the Sun model. I wanted the sun model,
but it was un available at ORU.
Here's the problems:
1. I can't see the passenger mirror with the hald door part on. I know the
brackets are for when you have no doors.
2. No instructions. Not a big deal, but since #3 and #4 will explain why I
wanted them.
3. 4 large washers came with it, yet only the bottom part of the mirror
would fit, the mirror posr was to large in diameter.
4. The top part of the mirror post has notches to help the locking swivel in
stock form.

Is the Sun model any different?

David
