You best power upgrade is GEARS!

Unless you want to dump a V8 in, a well thought out diff, trany and transfer case gearing is the best bet. and cheaper in the long run.

JP, I believe it was, did that test. If you look (and read) closely, you'll see that they really got nothing !!!!! It wasn't 2 ~ 4%, but maybe 2 ~ 4 hp, but that's all well within the error margin of the dyno.
The strokers do seem to produce some useful gains, and I think one of the superchargers does/did (the Rimmer one maybe). The other superchargers certainly produce more HP and torque, but it's all about what I would consider "useable" range, like above 3000 RPM.. Even the test in the magazine (JP ?) they didn't start looking at the results until above 2000 RPM, and most of the "gain" was seen way above that. When I'm wheeling, I'm rearly above 2000 rpm, maybe a little in the 2000 ~ 2500 range. BTW, the magazine qualified the results, or should I say, lack of results (I'm sure to try and please the advetisers), by saying "well, the vehicle *felt* better or *sounded* better. Hell that and $0.55 will buy me a soda.

Cheers,
Fred

I don't know if that is its "true name". Technically, it is marked as
"FR42" so "FR42" is probably its "true name" these days. But that other
name is certainly synonymous. I've also heard it called "the old telegraph
trail" or just "telegraph trail".

The trail - or at least part of it - was evidently the route of an old
telegraph line. Along parts of the trail there are stumps of cut-down
telegraph poles still sticking up out of the ground.

Does anyone know if this closes any other trails out there?

Kinda like running with solid rubber tires. Generally, on road should be
some where around 28 to 32 psi. Off road pressure depends a lot on the tire.
I used to run BFG's (which are pretty flexy) at around 12 - 15psi, depending
on the trail. I suspect your Pirelli's are no stiffer than the BFG's.

45psi is way too high for any situation.

On line kbb goes back as far as 1982 (at least for trucks). Anything older and a bb value is relatvely useless, which is why they likely don't go back any further. To go further back, you'll need a pretty old bb, which won't be relevant in today's market anyway, but I supose it may give you something to start with.

You may also wish to visit www.autotrader.com and search for the year and type your looking for to get a sense of the market.

Subject: OT: Anyone notice the Tripple Palindromic Date Lastnight

last night we had a Tripple Palindromic Date or Palindromic Clock
moment if you do not know what that is I will explain.

Last night at 8:02 was the beginning of 60 seconds that only happens
every 1001 years.

The date 20/02
The time (Military) 20:02 hrs
the year is 2002

Palindromic: A word, phrase, verse, or sentence that reads the same
backward or forward

Just thought that I would pass it on.

Sincerely: JEEP THANG

Price: $500

Contact: buckelew3@postmark.net

(4) 32x11.5x15 Remington Mud Brutes and a 30x9.5 spare on 15x8 Prime's. Mud Brutes are in good condition, only couple thousand miles on them, if that. Spare is practically brand new, it's a Dueler A/T. $500, so it's like paying $75 a tire and $25 rim. Will meet buyer halfway, can ship for a tad extra.
thanks..John

Subject: RE Big Thks to John Butler, and 4 Wheelers

I just wanted to let everybody know how great of a guy John Butler
really is. He invited me to his house to help put in my RE
bushings. For those people who have done this procedure before, they
know its not very fun nor easy. However John new how much work it
was going to take to put them in and he offered to help. However
while trying to put them in we ran into some trouble with the 20 ton
press. However he still took 3 hours out of his busy schedule to
help me out even though we never got the bushings in. As for 4
Wheelers, they seem to know what they are doing all the time and only
charged me $50 to put all 6 bushings in 'thanks Dave'. Well I just
wanted to let people know what great guys these people are and for
everybody else in this club that helps out with each project of ours
at the AZVJC. Even if its over the internet or going to their house
and doing manual labor. I just wanted to say Thanks Again
