Are you here in Phoenix now? If so, Space Age paints on Country Club in
Mesa will make up custom rattle cans for about $18. You don't have to
pay for a whole quart of paint, just for the rattle can amount.

Horsepower and torque are two separate things. The way I understand it
is horsepower is good for speed and torque is the twisting force an engine
has. Torque is what gets you going and allows you to pull heavy loads.
Ideally you'd what high torque and horsepower #'s. A well rounded engine
would have the torque/horsepower rating about the same, for example 400 HP &
400 ft lbs torque.
Another way I like to think about it is to look at diesel engine. They
generally accelerate slowly but can pull large loads. Its not uncommon for a
diesel engine to have a rating of something like 250 hp & 550 ft lbs torque.
I'd say most Jeepers would want smooth torque which is what the I-6
has. I hope this helps. If anyone thinks I need correcting please speak up.

I have a shackle reverse on my yj. It was worth every penny. Handles like a
dream now. Takes a huge amount of drift out. I'm running 33s with a 4 inch
lift + the 1 1/2 inches from the shackle reverse. I went with the more kit.

is it possible that your springs are jsut really stiff or maybe your
shocks are bad. That can account for a lot of the beating up I have
ever experienced in my jeep the other was from wind when driving on
the highway. Kinda hard to avoid with a bikinni top

What bolt pattern are the 15x8 wheels? I would assume 5 on 5.5, but
thought I'd better make sure. I might be interested.

Are you here in Phoenix now? If so, Space Age paints on Country Club in
Mesa will make up custom rattle cans for about $18. You don't have to
pay for a whole quart of paint, just for the rattle can amount.

Subject: Re: horsepower modifications?

Question for anyone. Is there a difference in horsepower for speed and
horsepower for torque? Or does horsepower just mean horsepower and it is the

K & N Airfilter. Never ran my 74 CJ-5 (with 360) without it, but when

Subject: Axle Alley Run Saturday 2/23! Two more rigs needed
Hi all: Blake Van de Loo and I are running Axle Alley this Saturday
and we'd like to have a total of four rigs going (to make a reasonably
short day of it). We've got room for two more Jeeps. The first two
people to contact me who want to run it and are set up for it are in.
Generally, you'll need minimum 35s, lockers and a winch. Axle Alley
can be gnarly, so be prepared to get it awwnnn. We're flexible on
time, but we probably want to at least meet up by 9 a.m. or earlier.
I'm not posting this as an official AZVJC run, so contact me directly
