That would depend on if it is walking or catching a ride with another
sticker that already has a Jeep. ;) [just kidding]

I suppose it might depend on where your house is.

If you have the money sure why not it comes down to conveinence and money I

Now the next trick is can you do it while your driving or still in the car

Not looking to start a huge flame war....this is not a flame, but a simple question.

I was under the impression that we were suppose to be avoiding Jack Handle. Based on previous posts here, I understood it to be one of the trails that is under very close watch by land management officials. I believe the Arizona 4 Wheel Drive Association had asked us not to run it?

Hello All,

David Withers lead a trail run Sunday, February 17, 2002 across Jack Handle

Well, we didn't run Orville's loop. We never got directions or found it in any trail guide. So as busy as the FJ area was, I decided on Jack handle.

What a fun, but short trail. It's starts with a 3.5 ft. water fall with a granite notch right behind that. The notch is just wide for a TJ. A full width axle would have to go up and over it. The rest of the trail consisted of many good flexing points and a steep off camber hill. Alan's nearly stock TJ (Also Chili Peper :)) did exceptionally well. We stopped at the top of the ridge line for lunch with a great view.

1982 J10! I still need to sell my J10. It has a Chrysler 413 motor and 727
TorqueFlite and Transfer case. Also nice Center;line type aluminum wheels,
near new 30x9.5x15 Wranglers, CD Player, Custom Tonneau Cover, Custom
Bucket Seats, Permacool 29000 cfm booster fan, and other goodies. Not a
PERFECT truck but close enough. It has been my daily driver, very
dependable, a good tow vehicle and off-roader.

I have spent over $7000.00 on it since I got it in 1999. Current asking
price is $4500.00 or best rreasonable cash offer. May consider partial
trade-in. See it on my website in the 'BIG BOY TOYS' SECTION.

Keep this in mind for next year. St George isn't very far from Las
Vegas. You have to either go through Las Vegas or spend a lot of time
driving the around the Grand Canyon to get there. Phone and email
address at the end.

Subject: Rebel Rock Rally Presidents' Day weekend

Tired of the cold and snow? Looking for fun and challenging new trails?
Then
join us over Presidents' Day Weekend for the Rebel Rock Rally in St
George,
UT. We have six trails from mild to wild.

Western Utah has been overlooked by the media for years. This is
unfortunate
as Cedar City and St. George have incredible trails that are scenic,
challenging, and fun. Those who have wheeled here invariably state our
trails are more challenging and fun than Moab. Come see what you've been
missing.

Weather in St. George should be sunny with daytime temperatures between
50
to 75 degrees. The area has a population of 100,000 with all the
amenities a
city this size offers. Las Vegas is only an hour forty five minutes
away.

Here is a description of each. Ratings on Moab scale.

Natural Disaster: This trail is rated 4+ and is similar to the Hammer
trails
in California. It travels through a scenic canyon bottom and gets its
name
for flash flood and earthquake made obstacles. 33" tires, front and rear
lockers required. No full sized vehicles. No bypasses. Alternate routes
for
really BIG dogs (ARCA type) available for the insane. Tech inspection
required. Entries limited to 10 per day.

Devil's Hole: 3+ rated trail. Rocks and some sand. Fun trail.

Slip Lock Gulch: 3+ rated trail. Lots of sand dunes and great scenery.
31"
tires and one locker recommended.

Milt's Mile: rated 4. One locker and 33" tires required. Rock
waterfalls,
sand, technical driving in places. Optional 4+ climb for longer wheel
based
vehicles will get your heart pumping. Great romp in the sand at the end
of
the trail.

Toquer Slot: This trail is rated a 4. Lava rock canyon with rocks and
tough
climbs. No bypasses. Unforgiving on tires if your spotter's asleep. 33"
recommended. One locker required.

Red Mountain: This is a fun 3 rated trail ideal for stock vehicles and
those
not wanting the challenges and possible damage incurred on more
difficult
trails. Overlooks Ivins City, and the Tuachan Performing Arts
Amphitheater.

There will also be a Show and Shine, raffle, and BBQ. UROC will be
competing
in the first BFG Rock Crawling event for 2002 at the same time in St.
George. Come watch the carnage.

Cost of the event is $25.00 for the first trail and $10.00 for each
additional trail. For more information or to sign up, Call Rebel 4x4
Club at
(435) 645-9289 or email www.rebels4x4club.org. See you there.
